We had a powerful snowstorm on Saturday evening. The visibility was poor and the wind was buffeting the trees. We lost power a few times but we hunkered down in the house and managed to watch a movie. And there was no way I was going out in that. But I opened the back door early in the evening, and this is what I got. / When I downloaded the images I really liked this one.

Model is Velocity, Model Mayhem #800145 / MUA and styling by her Concept was the models and is based on the idea of disliking birthdays. The image and the concept further brought me to think of Alice in Wonderland. So I suppose the model here could be portraying Alice in a darker light. Instead of tea cups, it’s a birthday cake. This little image was a lot of fun to create. I started out snapping a lovely green wreath on the side of a red barn between Pavia and Osterburg, Pennsylvania on Route 869 … then added snow in Photoshop!! Image also available with “Merry Christmas” and “Season’s Greetings” greetings as well!! Original image shot with the Nikon D40x on January 20, 2009. Shutter 1/80, aperture f/5.6, exposure -.33, iso 400.
