this gang of Adelie penguins gave me a great opportunity for quite a series of entertaining photographs as they zoomed busily about their icy playground. This photo has become a symbol of connection and friendship among my own personal group of nearest and dearest friends.

WILD AND FREE / / We were very lucky with our bear sightings around Spitzbergen in the Scandinavian Arctic, which allowed us to get some nice close-up shots. These cubs were around 19 months old and still very playful. / / / (Spitzbergen – Scandinavian Arctic) / / >< / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /

I have been trying out various black and white methods and I thought I should give this one a go. / I took this picture without them knowing. / It looked like although the grandfather didn’t have much money, he still managed to buy is grandson an ice cream. Taken in Bristol on Colston Street.
lick them before they melt!
I was thinking about if the Neapolitan ice cream flavours of strawberry, vanilla and chocolate were characters and came up with this picture. Strawberry is girly, Vanilla is happy and Choc looks tough but a really big melting softy!
the ice cream design is positioned on the left (on top of the heart) once it is worn…it means “i heart / love ice cream”.
These penguins are from ‘On the Ice’ double page spread, from ‘My First Animal Alphabet’. I show this image at school visits…and the kids always get excited. Happy Feet! Happy Feet!

Ice Cream is a pretty powerful thing. We all know that. It can turn any grim situation, into a delightful one: Bad day at work? Ice Cream will pick you up. / Relationship problems? Ice Cream will love you unconditionally. / Your mother died? Ice Cream is the best bed-time story. It just makes life better. Foxes can’t help but get chubby and frolic in a colorful world with butterflies, when he has a paw full of ice cream. This was done for a friend of mine, as a gift because I was stupid enough to lose my tablet stylus, and he was kind enough to mail me a free one. This is the least I could do. I challenged myself to limit myself to only 7 colors (not including the background shirt color). I’ve been enjoying very saturated colors as of late.
