From a scene in “The Jungle Book” where Mowgli is kidnapped by the Banderlog, The Monkey People. Chil the Kite flies overhead witnessing this and will tell Bagheera the Black Panther and Baloo the Bear so they can rescue him. / Hand drawn,Prisma colored pencils, Probably did this in the 1980’s, my trailer years
Hand drawn,Prisma colored pencils Another scene from “The Jungle Book”. Hoping to do an illustrated book in honor of one of my favorite stories, “The Jungle Book” by Rudyard Kipling. i only have 3 done so far, and i think i started this project in the 1980’s, or 1990’s during my trailer years when i was most creative. Thanks to Paul Compton and darkestartist, they just started this awesome new group / “Art Influenced By Literature”, and a lot of my projects are from books i have loved forever and wish to illustrate for. i haven’t gotten far in these ventures, a lot are still in the reference stages, but with this great new group i’m hoping to get my creative flames burning bright & start creating again.
Hand drawn, pencil, 27 September, 2008
Did just today (30 September, 2008). i drew this on paper i soaked in coffee around 10 years ago, to give it an aged vintage look. Hand drawn in No.2 pencil & 2B pencil. This is the second of the train stations the guest is taking to get to Transylvania where the Vampire awaits in his castle (and of course the guest has no clue is host is a Vampire). One more train station, in Buda-Pesth, then the rest of the trip will be by carriage.
my internet died for almost half an hour so i added color with the Wacom to a doodly piece i did a while back
i scratched the characters out on tracing paper & went over with pencil
In tribute of Bela Lugosi’s birthday, which was on 20 October. He is my all time favorite Count Dracula, in my all time favorite Dracula movie, 1931. Hand drawn in NO.2 & 2B pencils, did late this afternoon, 21 October, 2008. Took about 1 1/2 hours

Spider Sadie hid behind the daily news, not wanting to be tragically demised by Anne Marie’s breakfast delight. Hand drawn, pencil, 2B pencil
Hand drawn, Prisma colored pencils. The drawing is on hemp paper, 8 1/2 X 11. Drawn from a photograph my sister sent me of her friend’s two Yorkies. March, 2009. Took about 3 days. / i think she is the same woman i did a portrait of her other 3 Dogs / http://www.redbubble.com/people/pinkyjain/art/1264269-79-adoration-comes-in-threes / “Adoration Comes In Threes”. i don’t know where the other Yorkie was when i did this. Did that one almost a year ago
For another challenge in Fine Arts Influenced By Literature. This time the book is “Wuthering Heights” by Emily Brontë. The two ghostly people are Heathcliff & Catherine. Hand drawn, pen
Another one down, like 15 to go, lol. One of the reasons i have been so absent. i feel bad, but i am really trying to get this book done. One drawing takes forever, getting the composition can take days, or longer, then starting the sketch. i started this in pencil on 2 May, 2009. Finished in pencil & started in Prisma colored pencils on 9 May (my brother Chris’ birthday), & just finished today, 22 May (my Dad’s birthday). i will take a slight break & hopefully have time to come around. Really missing you all, but i gotta keep cracking the whip, really hoping to get this book completed.
