after uploading my shot rushing past the colors today, i was approached by a member… Loramae / asking if it was ok to use this poem that inspired her. / this is the very 1st time in all of the places ive had my work, that someone has approached me with anything like this! i was totally speechless and am deeply honored my shot inspired her to create..now that is “passing it on” / so i have added to the decription her poem, ive also added that if anyone wants a card or print with the sentiment added, to let me know, ill have someone to add for me. / Loramae, thank you from the bottom of my heart. / here is her poem she wrote: Rushing Past The Colors… Laid on the floor of the world at our feet, / The beauties all of Heaven can afford… / Cast from the hand of the Great Almighty, / Creator of all things loved and adored… / Colors and hues unmistakable in beauty, / Gently caressing the days of our life… / Teasing and pleasing scents of perfection, / Waft through the air in most perfect delight… / Time in minutes and seconds build days… / such blessings live before the naked eye. / But for a moment stop and be so sure… / Your not rushing past the colors of life. Thank you again so much loramae.

I’m up at this early hour first off because of some inconsiderate idiot that called me at 3:30 a.m. / Sleep is hard enough when one has insomnia, so when you do find slumberland you take it….gladly. Not only did this person call once, but I was lucky to go back to sleep right away which is very unusual and what happens? They called again. This is why I don’t own guns. ( just kidding ) Okay so yesterday I was outside painting. Two canvases, each one 3 feet by 4 feet. I’ll talk more about the process maybe later when I upload them. But I want to talk about handling larger pieces of canvas. Always have someone help you. Both pieces were laying on the ground drying in the afternoon sun, I used a gloss enamel this time for a different affect…one piece I rather like the other, I’m quite disappointed in, maybe I can go over it and salvage the canvas – we’ll see. Anyway it’s getting late, the paint still isn’t dry, they were calling for rain. I didn’t want to leave them outside all night long so I thought I’d bring them in, put them in my basement, someplace safe where the cats won’t walk on them, although little cat paw prints may have been a good idea. These pieces were heavy because of the amount of paint on them. / Mr. macho guy here decides he’s going to do it himself one piece at a time. The piece I liked best I took down first. It went well. I placed it in a safe and secure area, come to think about it, it might even be dry by now. The second piece had far too much paint on it and I should have just left it to dry where it was, but Noooooooooooooo ! I had to bring that one down too. In the process I rubbed my hair up against the painting. At this point I had so many colourful shades of paint in my hair – how nice! After I place that one in a secure place I decide to wash my hair and get the paint out. / Shampoo ….HA ! / doesn’t work with enamel. / After my hair dried it felt like super glue every where, there would be no way possible to drag a comb or brush through that. So I’m thinking…what could take that paint out of my hair? The proverbial light bulb goes off – paint thinner I grab a container of paint thinner, lean over the tub, pour it all over my head and scrub it in. The paint that was stuck in my hair came out easily…Oh good i thought. Then I got a bit of thinner in my left eye, and my scalp was starting to burn. / Back to the tub again. Wash my hair again, flush out the eye, shampoo. Well to make a long story shorter than it already is everything’s okay except for the one painting I don’t like. So next time you have a large piece of canvas and are outdoors, or are planning on moving it while the paint is wet, have someone help you. / But I’m sure a normal person would already know this Bear
