moon captured by girl
The colour version as someone requested.
We wanted to send man to the moon. / We did. We wanted to supply man with a / way to communicate through fiber optics. / We did that too. But what happens when the / human counterpart is so reliant on technology, / that it forgets to…be human? Numbers, dates, / appointments all stored in a portable database. / Families neglect to interact with each other because / they all have a human counterpart that they can connect / with. Patience is a thing of the past because anything / they want is at their fingertips. Ideas are unoriginal / because they have all been thought of before; typed, dated, / and logged. Welcome to the Butterfly Effect. / Welcome to our world. / / / Hand painted (mouse painted..heh.) digital oil / (taken from my own eye) / Corel Paint Shop Pro/Corel Painter X/Apophysis / This is my first hand painted digital oil. / Challenge Cafe Entry / / / Special thanks to Helene Kippert Paul Tupman and Stacylee for your influences. ;) / / / Runner up in the Challenge Cafe Contest / Thanks to all who voted on it! / / / / sold:1 mounted print + 1 laminated print / (both to RB members/artists) / /

A photograph of a bubble on some twigs….much like the other one but this one had a lot more reflections and colors. You can see my camera and my hand in the middle as well. / It is very yellow, I don’t know how that happened, maybe the gloomy grey skies. Most of them are clear with blue and pink streaks. This one reminded me of colored mercury glass. / (I added shadow to bring out the colors more.)
Just something I created this weekend at the lake :) /
FEATURED BY: 1 DSLR Users Only – 1/24 2 YOU’RE ACCEPTED 3 Mountains and Mountain Light KANSAS-All We Are is Dust In The Wind UNTOUCHED NIKON D60 18-55 mm. Lens:18-55mm F/3,5-5,6G / Focal Length:31mm / Aperture:F/11 / Shutter Speed:1/320s / Sensitivity:ISO 100 Today it was 04:00 am and we were on the way to climb for an hour by car then ofcourse by walk with the equipments around 2 hrs.. I began to climb when we got the region..And then, I climbed around 5000 ft.. Then the mist began.. So I had to stop climbing cause it was getting risky and I dont like making mistakes “in purpose”.. I waited around 10 mins but saw the mist was coming up on me.. So I gave up and decided to go back down.. :)) This time it didnt want me to climb.. So I got back and after 5 mins, storm began with the wind.. :(( (anyways, I did the right ) / In this week we will try again and again… Although we get the forecast from the satellite, it doesnt somehow match (or it changes too fast) :)) I keep posting them in serie :) / This one is one of the first shots when I got to region.. / Well I keep trying :)) TAke Care All :)) / Region Arhavi -TURKEY
You can always tell a man by his hands…they can be rough, tough and dirty…but if they are gentle enough to grace a rose, than you know you found a winner! Pentax K10D A beautiful poem written by Dalton Sayre / Clasped in hands so strong / Petals bright and sweet / In contrast to the mines / So dark and full of heat This blessing Gaia gives / To those who take time out / To stop and smell the roses / And love instead of shout So hear the plea I offer up / To cloud and sky above / As I kneel on Mother Earth / As gentle as a dove I thank you for your bounty / And all that you provide / For roses blooming up above / And the ore you keep inside I know how much you care for us / Although you bear our scars / For unto us doth spill the light / Of sun and moon and stars
Hand with “third eye” holding flower. Photo based illustration.
On Zazzle / on DeviantART Strongly inspired by Kagerou ... all the flowy red and orange hair, and a bit of Van Gogh’s Starry Night as well, for the background. A fierce and free magechild, who commands the fire of the night and moves through their own imagination at will… / Basically, controls the realm of dreams. / (also, Kagerou is possibly maybe initially believed to be a crazy-dream-journey) ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet
My self portrait final for my Drawing II class. This took me a looooong time. I was up till 7am Wednesday night to finish this piece! Chalk pastel pencils & sticks, charcoal, white Rives BFK archival paper. My face is supposed to be dollish and unrealistic. Too bad a lot of the details are lost on here, maybe I will post links to detail shots later. I’m quite happy with this piece and I got an 97% =]

Featured in the group Bits and Pieces in August 2009 / The Plum-throated Cotinga (Cotinga maynana) is a species of bird in the Cotingidae family. It is monotypic within the genus Porphyrolaema. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical swamps and heavily degraded former forest. / What was amazing about this capture is that this is a very, very rare bird. It is not necessarily at risk in terms of population decline but is extremely difficult to get a good picture because it is lives high up in the highest branches of the forest. The ornithologist that I met in Leticia was almost ecstatic when he saw this image. I had never seen one before and perhaps the most amazing discovery was that this bird was captured in hand by a girl in the indigenous community we visited. And this was the only place we stopped to meet and talk with there and she showed us this bird! I couldn’t believe it!! The Amazon is indeed an amazing land of discovery!!!
