Mr.Roland died two days after I took that picture,he was a realy good friend and I use to tease him a lot.He was blind but always recognised me because he knew my voice«Ah!....« Gigi de St-Hippolyte»he used to say , holding my hand.He never asked for much only to organised his meal in a way he could easily eat by himself and to give him his chaplet for the ceremony on sundays.A great person , very generous and smiling all the time.The worst part for him was not being able to go to the bathroom ,I think that idea killed him ,he was so proud.He died very peacefully with her daughter and son ,hand in hand .The hand you see in the picture is his son’s .Let’s say that if I wasn’t passionnate about my job I couldn’t do it . / 2900+ views / /

pencil embellished limited-edition print of my pencil drawing Heliotroped As of Dec. 29, 2009, this has been viewed 868 times. THANK YOU. This was also done for a benefit exhibition where it took Best of Show. I cut out a portion of a print of my drawing “Heliotroped” and wrapped it around the 12×12” block of plywood. Then I embellished heavily with more pencil work. Very fun. started off with 2 images for this, one of my face and one of my hands covering the face. / I then opened both images in camera raw and applied the same settings to both photos. / Next i aligned the photo of my face with the one of my hands. / Then it was just a matter of masking and blending the images together. / This took a few attempts to get it to blend well, but I am happy with the end result. / total time was about 4 hours
