Sun Setting Over Dent Island © Vicki Ferrari This was another sunset taken from the mighty nightly War Canoe Sunset Cruise, looking over Dent Island, towards the mainland (Shute Harbour and Airlie Beach,Australia). It was taken around 1990, using my old Minolta SLR (a great workhorse!). I have scanned this 6X8 print from my one of my portfolios, with basic editing in photoshop but basically it is as it was taken back then! Thanks for looking!

Olympus SP560UZ compact / f/5 / 1/640 sec / ISO-50 / 12mm A wonderful gate captured on a first visit to the lovely Chatelherault Country Park in Hamilton, in central Scotland. I’ve just tweaked the grey gate a little to add a little more light and definition, using PS Elements 6 and the handy tool of a Scott Kelby book recommended by the fantasic photographer Chris Clark Thanks Chris I really appreciate your kindness! For me its a one off and a bit different to the usual..so any feedback is especially welcome / cheers / ding / ;))

Another take with beautiful model, singer and dancer Sydney Jo Jackson, who was a real pleasure to work with. The delightful Nicola Hamilton came over to do the make up at very short notice. Part of the brief was to produce some B/W shots, and as I was after a low key effect with smooth tones, I rigged a black tent arrangement to stop light bouncing around the room and give maximum density to the shadow areas. Heart Reef © Vicki Ferrari A scan of an original print, taken using a Minolta SLR, back in the early 1990’s. / Heart Reef is located north of Hamilton Island, on the Great Barrier Reef, in North Queensland, Australia. It was named Heart Reef because, and obviously, it looks like a heart! / This photograph was taken from one of my regular chopper rides up on the island. I never got sick of flying in choppers, or seeing the amazing reef from the air! When you are at the Whitsundays, well worth visiting the Reef by helicopter! The view is amazing! Stopped at Nigretta Falls near Hamilton Victoria on our way to Melbourne last week. Nice amount of water passing over the summit at the moment thanks to recent rains. Canon 400D with 17-85 lens. CIR Polariser to help slow the flow rate. No ND filter with me (Damn!) but the overcast day helped.

BEST VIEWED LARGE :-) ~ The waters of the Wannon / Falling over Nigretta Falls / Down over the rocks / And through the trees so tall / . / It runs all the way down / Until it meets the sea / It is such a beautiful sight / One for all to see ~ Clive 09 Nigretta Falls on the Wannon River near Hamilton, Victoria ,Australia is in reasonable flow at the moment,this is the left hand side of the falls which l have never seen water going over until now,the light mixed with the flow was very strong which did’nt help with the glare off the water but thought this looked nice framed by the tree’s / / Canon 450 D / Shutter 1/3s / Aperture F / 22 / ISO 100 / Exp Bias -1 / FL 55mm / ND4 / CP/Light Diffuser Filters

The Abbey / To the right of the vineyard and on the lake edge, the abbey was the last of the follies to be created, over Charles Hamilton’s brick and tile works, when the park was put up for sale in 1772.
