  • A 22° halo from the sun reaches down and touches the top of the Salvation Army archway that leads to the cemetery. On beautiful sunny days where cirrus clouds are present, an icebow (a type of halo) can form around the sun in a perfect spherical ring as light is dispersed by the tiny ice crystals suspended high above the earth. A 22° halo is a particular icebow that has red light on the inside and bright blue on the outside as seen in this photo. Photo taken in Lower Island Cove, Newfoundland, Canada

  • Taken with a Canon PowerShot S3 IS, 6 megapixels. I was sitting at my kitchen table ( I live in a basement), having coffee after supper and relaxing. • If I told you what it was about, it’d make the meaning redundant….My step father and I did have an in-depth discussion about it though.. (I think I lost?). It’s about how people misinterpret art, particularly when there’s a typically obscene element, it’s presumed to have strong ethical/political meaning, or at least that there’s some semi-juvenile desire to shock…. / What if the meaning is something about the soft aesthetics? A gentle mish-mash of tattoo-flash idiom? / Think outside The Panel.
