I Wished, i can hear and feel all that colours are thinking / what colour it should be? / White? / red? / yellow? / green? / or black? / the colour of skin / and all the discrimination on the ground of race, colour and religion—. / White.. / the achromatic color of maximum lightness / it reflects nearly all light of all visible wavelengths / completely honest and morally good / the world where everyone having very left-wing political opinions— / We hope to be able to bring the warring factions to the negotiating table to try to end all conflicts / cause white is the colour that depicts love and peace / Wrap the world in the white colour then / ‘Wrap yourself in that.’— / cover world with white / Go to the end of the line! / hallucinations may start to fade / I want to you steal the hallucination before it fades / so we can say that discrimination was finally at an end. / no one black or brown discriminate in a predominantly white world / so cover it with white / I searched desperately for something to say / something drove me further than I had realized / nothing could be further from the truth / I took the new direction to further / am i so alive in my skin? / so are we alive? / my voice sank to a whisper / when I’ve been thinking of this world! / Go to the end of the line! / wrap the world / cover it with paint / ‘Wrap yourself in that.’— / love / peace / and / Harmony.. / these all depict the colours of white!

Dancing in the moonlight, / It’s caught me in its spotlight, / On the long hot summer night. _“Dancing in the Moonlight” is the title song on the 1973 King Harvest album. The track was released as a single and it reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. They released other singles but these were never able to match the success of “Dancing in the Moonlight”. The track used a Wurlitzer electric piano thoroughout. The song was written in 1968 by Sherman Kelly, whose brother, Wells Kelly – King Harvest’s drummer in the early 1970s – introduced the song to the band. It was originally recorded in 1970 by the American band, Boffalongo. Wells Kelly was also the original drummer for Orleans. King Harvest recorded and released Dancing in the Moonlight as a 45 rpm single, with Lady, Come Home to Me on the B side, while the band was based in Paris. Steve Cutler, a jazz drummer from New York City played drums on the tracks and toured with the band in France and England. The group disbanded after six months and the single languished for a year until it was bought and released worldwide by Perception records. A cover version was released in the UK in 1973 by singing and dancing act Young Generation, but despite heavy airplay, failed to chart. The song’s first line, “We get it on most every night” is often misheard as “We get it almost every night” Thin Lizzy’s 1977 UK single release – “Dancin’ In The Moonlight (It’s Caught Me In Its Spotlight)” should not be confused with the King Harvest song, as it is a completely different track._

Basically, I took a page from a sketch book, slathered it in copious splashes of watercolors, and just kind of grooved from there. Created in conjunction with “Bird of Prey” – the piece on the opposite page of the sketchbook. Watercolors on 8.5” x 11” white paper.

(on yellow) Waiter, there are creatures in my soup! My hallucination of pumpkin soup on acid or shrooms or maybe it was the opium? Ahh well… here’s a surreal look at soup, complete with poppy girl, mushroom man, meditating guru, baby, bunny, lovely lady and fluffy slippers? Soup anyone? 7 colours. Mixed media / 17×11 on drawing paper charcoal, magazine cutouts, acrylic, glitter it’s basically like the doctor on the left just injected you with something that makes you hallucinate (kind of why he’s not too in focus) and then you look and you see the stuff behind him going on terrible description but that’s the best I can do. ha.
