  • Now I’ve heard there was a secret chord / That David played, and it pleased the Lord / But you don’t really care for music, do you? / It goes like this: the fourth, the fifth / The minor fourth, the major fifth / The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah / Hallelujah, Hallelujah Your faith was strong but you needed proof / You saw her bathing on the roof / Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you / She tied you to a kitchen chair / She broke your throne, and she cut your hair / And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah / Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Baby, I’ve been here before. / I know this room, I’ve walked this floor. / I used to live alone before I knew you. / Yeah I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch, / But listen, love is not some kind of victory march, / No it’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah, / Hallelujah, Hallelujah. There was a time you let me know / What’s really going on below, / Ah but now you never show it to me, do you? / Yeah but I remember, yeah when I moved in you, / And the holy dove, she was moving too, / Yes every single breath that we drew was Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah, / Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Maybe there’s a God above, / As for me, all I’ve ever seemed to learn from love / Is how to shoot at someone who outdrew you. / Yeah but it’s not a complaint that you hear tonight, / It’s not the laughter of someone who claims to have seen the light / No it’s a cold and it’s a lonely Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah, / Hallelujah, Hallelujah. LEONARD COHEN

  • Another picture of street art in Bogota. Stencils everywhere in that city.

  • Hope that title doesn’t offend people, but this was one of those monumental sunrises, i shot seventy frames, different rocks, different angles, different water movement, and the sky only changed slightly, the Hallelujah chorus from Handle’s Messiah repeats its self over and over, so did this, blew me away, the softest light, it truly was heavenly. Taken in the North Bay at Kaikoura. Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm Lens, Cokin ND4 soft grad, Raw files with Active D-Lighting on High.

  • all done in Corel X 2 in brushes,shapers.. Hallelujah Day / A Hallelujah party is a Christian celebration that is held on October 31st. / This is a great activity for children and their families to attend, it’s a fun evening in a Christian setting. / A costume is not required, but if you want to wear one it should reflect a Biblical character, a positive out look for childern to look up to. / As Christians we want to give God honor in everything that we do. If Halloween is devil’s night then who are we giving honor to? Is causing fear ever right in any circumstance? Whether or not to celebrate Halloween as a Christian is a choice that each family must decide for themselves. But if you have been seeking a way to let your kids enjoy festivities and still give God the glory on October 31st, then have a Hallelujah Night Instead of a Halloween Night. / This is how my babys enjoy the 31st of oct. / They need heros to look up too…and i ‘m not alone in this idea. / Bible characters who builded Jesus up is what our childern should be taught. / This is not a religion , but a Faith way. /

  • At the most literal, Alleluia means “All hail to Him Who is.” This is a colour photograph taken inside the St. John’s Episcopal Church near Kula on Maui Hallelujah (הללויה) is a Hebrew word meaning “praise Yahweh”. • Libra Beethoven – Ode To Joy The angels of my heart and soul take wing and soar into the heavens, bearing aloft my dreams and hopes… for my journey into my fifties has commenced… my new life has begun… the wheel has turned. I have hit the wall as far as painting or creativity is concerned. / I have no urge nor desire to do anything. This worries me momentarily until I remember that I have been painting non-stop for over three years – over 200 paintings and drawings, countless poems and short stories, thousands of photographs… I am tired and heartsore. The lessons have been long and hard and constant. Just when I think I might have a breather, the Universe throws another curveball at me. If only they weren’t lessons for my poor heart… This year (and for the rest of my life) I will work on the relationship I have with my self. I will learn how to love my self. I will learn how to make no excuse for who I am, and what I want from life. I will learn how to be me without fear, denial, judgment, disgust. I will learn that I am a beautiful, wonderful, unique and loving human being who deserves the best life has to give. I will learn NOT to settle for second best. I will learn that I deserve and am worthy of love and respect. I will learn that I can fly… To all of you who walk this path, this road less travelled, my hand is always outstretched… for I give freely of my heart and my courage – this is my gift… Blessed Be / Marg / October 2009 Acrylic with glitter and metallic overlays on canvas / 1 metre square / Original for sale: $2800 plus postage and handling
