  • This building facade is located in Port Melbourne, Victoria. What appeals to me about it is how the original alcoholic signage has been left, which I believe is for heritage reasons.

  • Luna Park’s scenic railway in Melbourne, this was taken for a project in 2002 / 2003 when I was doing a Camera and Image 8 week short course at Melbourne School of Art and Photography. Taken using my first manual film SLR camera, a Canon EOS 300, with transparency film, then scanned digitally and adjusted to suit.

  • This photo was taken at the Temple of Literature while on a trip in Vietnam in 2003. It was taken using B+W transparency film.

  • This was taken as a colour digital photograph, then desaturated in Photoshop. I like the light, shade and contrast captured without losing any detail. Featured in Mornington Peninsula and Port Phillip Bay / March 2009

  • This photo was taken at the NGV on St. Kilda Rd, Melbourne late last year. There was a girl resting on one of the concrete slabs. Highlighting her was what I wanted to achieve in this image.

  • A snapshot of St. Kilda. A popular suburb in Melbourne.

  • This is the second approach to the HDR process for me. I have taken a black and white and colour image of the same photo, rather than combining two different exposures as the process suggests.

  • This was a photograph that I was lucky to capture. I was leaving Elwood Beach when out of the corner of my eye I saw what I thought was an incredibly interesting moment between dog owner, dog and toddler. This was taken using black and white film and scanned digitally, then adjusted to suit. Featured in Candid Photography / April 2009.

  • This was created from two different exposures and HDR processed. I would highly recommend a visit to the Astor Theatre in Melbourne which is where this was captured. It is an amazing example of the Art Deco era.

  • Radio is located at The Astor Theatre, Melbourne.

  • This was taken hanging out of the side of a boat on The Perfume River in Vietnam. My boat was moving past these guys in one direction and I was quickly losing time waiting for him to launch his net. I’m glad he finally did. • A selected collective of my High Definition Range images to this point.

  • Taken during dusk and run through HDR process to accentuate city lighting elements and low lighting factor.

  • The elements of the food’s form, texture and colour have been captured using natural light only. Hand held single exposure was taken then run through HDR process to complete.
