  • This is a photo of a painting, by Rosemary Woodford Ganf, an Adelaide based artist who specialises in photorealistic paintings of animals. This was commissioned by a group of my close friends for my 50th birthday. It is EXACTLY what he looked like. The photo is not worked on at all, there may be a slight reflection off the glass, but it doesn’t matter… / Obviously, since this is not my work, this is not for sale or copying. Rosie is a full-time professional artist who attracts significant commissions, such as illustrating the ‘Bible’ on all kangaroos/wallabies in Australia, many bird books, private commsssions, etc. She has achieved success in the Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize, Australia’s richest and most influential competition of its type. Rosie is also a talented sculptor. Bubblemail me if you’re interested in finding out more about Rosie’s art. / I’ve put this up after a comment “to-and’fro” with Barssel, because of his beautiful horse photographs.,

  • Cliffhanger
    by Joanne Bradley

    US$3.99–US$106.40

Taken Saturday 10/05/08 with my new Nikon D40 in macro mode. / A candidate for Nature’s Macro Canvas, this is a tree stump that was hacked or partially broken off half way. It shows residue of sand and dust, as well as the wind and winter climate has resulted in a collection of debris and small pebbles along the lower part of the cut.

  • One of the first results from the recently-modified 35mm pinhole cam. I’ve seen this type of image before, taken with ordinary cameras, and wondered what result I’d get with a pinhole. Overall, I think I’m less happy with this camera than the previous one (used for the BW work uploaded recently), so might resurrect that one and abandon this. Details: 27 mm focal length / f/140 approx / 10 min approx / colour neg film / no photoshop, except black/white points The Camera: Yes, there is a hole in that metal plate! / /
