Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale jetting out of the 2009 Vanity Fair Party on Feb 22, 2009. I love Gwen and the music rocks and Gavin is one hot ticket! Actually they both are :) Shot with Canon 40D 70-200 L Series 430 Ex flash.
The first exercise, set by Gwen, at Hazelhurst Art and Community Centre, was to copy one of her works. It hit the spot! It fitted in so well! Without pushing the theme too much ( Well! Maybe!), my parents and I migrated on what has been called ‘the wave’, in 1956. In other words, during the period when the largest numbers of Dutch people, worried about a third world war, about housing shortage and the future for the children, migrated to South Africa, Canada and Australia, in particular. / I have a mental picture of my parents and me (then 39, 39 and 12) riding into Australia, on the crest of that wave. / Since 2002, I have been judging beaches for the Keep Australia Beautiful Clean Beach Challenge and one of the memorable presentations organised for me took place in the Manly Town Hall, when I was judging that beach. / One of the presenters and I had both had the experience of being taken to Manly Beach, not long after we arrived in Sydney, in the 50s.

The super-kawaii brand, bubbleDoll™ is a cute and controlled documentary of gwen’s world. How does being a creative person and pursuing your creativity affect other aspects of your life? I find creativity wherever I am through observing the elements and principles of design within my surroundings. Creativity is important to me in expressing who I am. Being creative helps me to communicate my thoughts, observations, and express my mental or emotional states. When my thoughts become cluttered, illustrating, sewing, listening to music or writing becomes my outlet for expressing or organising these cluttered thoughts. Creativity has always been a part of me from a very young age. I loved illustrating and music as a child. There was one point in time when I totally lost interest in illustrating and became more interested and involved in music. Over that timeframe I was a musician playing in a band and orchestras. After my ventures in music I became a Visual Merchandiser and Ticket Writer. I then explored fashion and had my Jewelry Designs filmed and featured on models on a fashion show runway in Melbourne. Now I am back to revisiting and pursuing my interest in Illustration and I love it! Currently, with BUBBLE DOLL™ my creative focus is on Illustration and Graphic Design. BUBBLE DOLL™ is my iconic identity that represents my creativity. With BUBBLE DOLL™, I work on producing my own projects as well as working on client projects.
