Mitchelin Valentino has a history of being a BAD boy. These are his tattoos. The Large bird is from a gang he was once in called The Ravens. The two tattoos on his upper arms and on is back under the raven is the sun rising over water. He got those latter in life after a near- death experience with the mob. A native American boy about his age named David Red-Feather and his grandfather, White Hawk, pulled him out of the river. It was a typical “wack” hit, cement boots and all. While drowning in the river Mitch sees his dead father (who was a good man) and he speaks to him stating how he needs to change his ways and that there is more to life than what is on this earth. They mean, “The Son rises above”. The “water” is a series of tiger stripes. this represents his spirit animal, a side of himself he must learn to control or he will forever be in the dark world of the dead, as explained to him by White Hawk, a spirit reader. He also tell Mitch what his father thinks of his past life. As David and his grandfather nurse Mitch back from the dead he begings to take a great intrest in who they are and what they are about… but it’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks, even if he thinks he wants to learn. / / Copyright / These Images and Writings Do Not Belong To ANY Public Domain. In Lil’ Bits words… My human female said that some of you had been wondering how I was doing after I almost died and then my surgery. / I got attcked, it happened so fast that all I could think of was my blanket and I just wanted to get home. After I recovered I was taken to a place where i went to sleep and woke up different….well now I think I am just trying to be a Happy Dog. / / I am still soooo afraid of everything… loud noises, humans reaching to pick me up or trying to touch me…I let my human female pick me up and hold me…she knows how to do it so I don’t get scared. / She took me for another ride in the moving place the other day and I LOVE to look out the windows and smell all of the smells. She had to put a thing around my neck and that scared me a little, but I remembered that she puts a long thing with it and we go for a walk in the grass and I just want to smell everything and potty everywhere! / There were other dogs where we went for a walk… but since my surgery I didn’t pay much attention to their smells and I didn’t get afraid. My humans talk to me in soft voices and call me a good boy…I even got some cold stuff out of the cold box the other day after my food…it was SOOOO good and it was like eating happiness. I still hide under my blanket…and then when I peek out my human female takes my picture! / I feel safe under my blanket and it even goes with me when I go for rides in the moving place. Thank you to those humans who wanted to know how I was doing…I am starting to learn that I don’t have to be so scared and try to bite…eating chipmonks and lizards out in the dry, hot place and living in the ground is not where I have to live anymore. / I have a safe place here with my humans and my blanket…and if you can see I am even learning to smile just a little… / I’ll write to you again sometime. / Lil’ Bit (AKA Skinny)
