  • Just catching the last rays of sunshine, she looks very relaxed…

  • Otway Ranges, Victoria

  • Tradtional owner Lindsay Bookie and his family have allowed access to the wilderness Hay River over the last 2 year. He welcomes travellers to his camp at the far north edge of the Simpson Desert.(it’s about a half day drive from Jervios station coming from the top end off the Plenty Highway. / Along with bush tucker tours and talking around the camp fire he is a great host. / In this image Batton Hill and the spectacular white ghost gums of this area catch the last ray’s of red desert sunset. / Taken on Fuji S2 Pro / 1338 Views

  • A nice Aussie outback scene. The location is about 45min drive north of Goondiwindi, on a back road through to Yelarbon. It’s all quite standard scrub the entire way, except for this one area of sand ridge with different vegetation. Quite nice to look at.

  • This shot was actually slightly overexposed, which allowed the snow gum that has a dusting of fresh snow to come out in a more ghostly grey, with detail in the trunk retained. The surrounding snow and sky however wasn’t completely washed out, and the slight detail and contrast there allows you to just discern its place relative to the snow and this sky. / ~ / Browse Images by Category : Snow Landscape Nature

  • Temperature was -5c degrees when we venture out to try our luck with snowmaking machine in the area called “Friday Flats” – the beginner slope of Thredbo Resort. Snowmaking and Grooming / Thredbo is the benchmark for snowmaking and grooming in Australia. The already mega snowmaking system that covers 25% of the trails has had another $2 million makeover in the summer and is now fully automated. What does this mean to snow riders? In the 2006 season 42% more snow was made than the previous year, this coming winter the mountain crew expects to produce an extra 30% again. More trails will be covered by the automated system. So better quality, greater coverage and more areas covered. Combine this with a state of the art grooming fleet to smooth the trails (including winch cats to smooth the steep), you know you will always have the best possible snow riding conditions. The "corduroy" surface left behind after a touch up from this mountain crew will make your boards sing!

  • Thanks to Lance for the title : )

  • Gum Trees are the inspiration for this piece, color and patterning within one Tree and the smell of Gum Leaves is Awesome / Each with their own Personality, some are tall Gigantic Grandfathers, some are Strong Grandmothers some are only Babies, some are desperate for Light growing in Forests, some stand alone on a Hill or have an Ocean view all to themselves, some surrounded by Youngins, some stand apart away, some just Are, but ALL are Beautiful, giving Freely of Themselves making the Gift of Oxygen, smelling Divine, providing Beauty by just Being. / Treasure them, the colors in this piece reflect the Joy felt for Them.

  • Pastel on Colourfix paper (burgundy) – 50cm x 35cm I love these beautiful, and very ancient, redgum trees which adorn the banks of the Goulburn River, Seymour. I donated this painting to a charity auction.

  • About as close to impressionism as I get, but still the work was very close to the reference photo I took. / I climbed a eucalyptus tree with my digital camera at dusk one day because the light that filtered through at the beginning of sunset was simply beautiful but almost unbelievable to the eye with it’s reds, purples and oranges highlighting the trees. / I’ve refrained from putting this on the Bubble until now, because my wife Claire started her own oil version at the same time as a husband and wife artistic project, except a more abstract version, but she is struggling to get motivated to paint at the moment, but enough is enough and I can’t wait! Sorry baby ;) Soft Pastels on Burgundy Colourfix paper, 660mm x 470mm. Completed 12th October, 2009 Original For Sale
