A picture of a seagull in flight against a white sky
Fog ,my passion,I ‘ve done so many shots of foggy mornings. This one I kept for a while because I knew I would need to warm up my cold winter days. That morning I remember looking for a long time the fog rising up as the sun woke up,that’s the expression of my grandchildren. The sun doen’t rise he wakes up .. :)) so cute..That seagull made my day.I choose the tittle because of the book «Jonathan the seagull» /
If these birds have just eaten, things could get pretty messy. (Did I just make a poop joke? Have I sunk so low? A poop joke? Seriously?)

Painted from a very old photo (1857) of a collier brig. Taken from my wonderful book of North East sailing ships on the coast. / And the ship, background and quay, are painted from the fenland port of Wisbech, on the Lincolnshire coast. The rest of the painting is from my imagination. Watercolour on two rivers, hand-made 140lb paper. / 14” x 21”
Another in the Masters series. / This is the centre part of a long panoramic watercolour. By Thomas Bush Hardy, 1895. I’ve moved some of the boats to be closer together, as my version is a small painting, 10×7 inches, on rough Bockingford tinted cream paper, 140lb. I will be painting the full length seascape in the future.

Original beach image by my good friend Barssel / Dreaming you into Life The sea spray on my face lingers, dissolving into my thoughts / Deliciously captivating to my fertile mind / My eyelashes murmur softly / Like grass on the dunes / Closing my eyes, I breathe deeply and dream you into life / You come to me now in this windswept cove / Seeking out treasures and wading through rock pools beside me / Searching grottos for memory jewels / We select precious shells to throw into the crystal bowl of days gone by Tracing the waves gently teasing the shore / Believing we are the only souls on earth / In our own tiny moment of afternoon splendour / Setting sunrays tickling our spines / Warming our necks and conjuring up promises of things to come / Peering into smiling eyes and pools of understanding / Knowing, just knowing all will be as it should / Nurtured in the way it was dreamed of all along / / As we glide along with our senses heightened / Sea air rushes in and around us / Mingling and entwining our souls / Like a pink fairy floss storm at the fair / Eagerly awaiting the fluffy candy of love / Fully aware of that tempting sweet aroma / The first taste begging to melt over our tongues / Like heaven and nectar rolled into a honey desire The gulls cry out to us with encouragement / Watching and floating on morphed hopes and dreams / That spiral up like thought clouds from our subconsciousness / Hopeful of conquering the quest of ages / They dip and swoop through everlasting mirages / High on endorphins, caught in euphoric rainbows / Glistening with raindrop refractions filled with sensual gifts / Created in the wonderment of a yearning love from within My sand covered toes curl in surprise / As the cool sea returns me to reality / I let my eyes wander lazily to the rocky balcony beyond / Wishing you were there waiting for my smile / Watching me dance over miniature waves / Stooping to scoop up another lost treasure / I tilt my head, my hair flying as if electrically charged / Imagining you calling me back to my hearts dream TMac

Lithuania, Klaipeda region, Curonian spit / THIS SERIES FROM / August 14-16, 2009 : morning/day/evening/night CLICK FOR COMMENTS / / at First Things / / ! The Curonian Lagoon (or Bay, Gulf; Russian: Kуршский залив, Lithuanian: Kuršių Marios, Polish: Zalew Kuroński, German: Kurisches Haff) is separated from the Baltic Sea by the Curonian Spit. / In the 13th century, the area around the lagoon was part of the ancestral lands of the Curonians and Old Prussian people. Later it bordered the historical region of Lithuania Minor. At the northern end of the Spit, there is a passage to the Baltic Sea, and the place was chosen by the Teutonic Knights in 1252 to found Memelburg castle and the city of Memel. The town is officially called Klaipėda since 1923 when the Memel Territory was separated from the German Empire. / As the new Interwar border, the river that flows into the Curonian Lagoon near Rusnė (German: Ruß) was chosen. The river’s lower 120km in Germany were called die Memel by Germans, while the upper part located in Lithuania was known as Nemunas River. The border also separated the peninsula near the small holiday resort of Nida, Lithuania (German: Nidden); the southern part of the Spit and the Lagoon remained in Germany until 1945. / This border remains today, as after World War II, the southern end of the Spit and the German area south of the river, the part of East Prussia with the town Königsberg located in Sambia, became part an exclave of Russia called Kaliningrad Oblast. Birds on the beach in the early morning on the Mayan Riviera in Mexico. Best Viewed Large!
Located on Venice Beach, FL this beach did not have many sunbathers which made it easy to photograph. I loved the large clump of seagrass that was on the sand. 50 blades of seagrass blowing in the wind! Taken with a Canon XTI / f/8 / ISO-100 / 1/640 sec / 24mm
One of many sunrise shots taken on a recent trip to Cornwall. / The ‘Lizard’ is a peninsula South of the town of Helston, and Lizard Point is the most Southerly part of mainland Britain. / I was lucky to get the Gull in, as I think it adds to the capture. Hope you like it. / Thank you for looking. Best Viewed Large. Pentax K110D. / Pentax 18-55mm lens.
Gull testing the water in the Bow River, Calgary, AB. / Inspried by the movie The Birds ! / /
This is Noosa North Shore, looking North towards the coloured sand cliffs, and Double Island Point. The cliffs are on fire, and much of the precious sand dune cover is going to be lost. Errosion is inevitable, possibly from an irresponsible camper lighting fires in a total fire ban, or the back-burning error made by the councils. Smoke can be seen to the left of this shot, limiting visibility along the beach. Still, this is one of the most beautiful places I have been, and the wildlife here, with the many eagles is just magical to witness. Even the pipi birds, gannets, terns, and seagulls (a seagull in flight in this shot) are awe inspiring! Canon 5D Mk II, 35mm, 16:9 crop. Available very large, and best viewed large!
