There were a few more people on the beach but I removed them to keep the sole figure walking towards the light. I liked the vastness of the shore in this pic I took during a walk to my local neighborhood pier. :)

In sickness and in health do I attend to my love of life. An ailing body will not cloud my visions nor impede me as I continue my journey. I am calmed by the Spirit of healing, kind hands that move over my being and surround me, bringing a peacefulness to this tired wanderer. A single, glistening drop of Divine Love attends my way as I move through this day. Thrice blessed, I anoint my soul with the breath of Brid. Three blessings to guide me from the wisdom of Dagda. Kind Spirits, Ever-knowing shades, in your embrace am I kept safe and free from harms way. May all within and without the circle be blessed. I am made sain in the glimmering tide of Forever. Jim – is the senior volunteer Guide for the Bibbulmum Track here in Western Australia. / This was taken in the Dwellingup Hotel beer garden after an arduous four day walk in support of the Bibbulmum Track Foundations Corporate Challenge. A four day walk during which competitors in groups of four complete several land and water based activities. The Bibbulmum Track is a world acclaimed 1000 km walk only track from Perth to Albany on the states Southern Coast. Spaced about every 20 clicks or so are three walled huts with bunks, fire place and a bush toilet. I reckon Jim’s done about 6 or 8 full length walks. See ya there :-) Further info can be obtained at the following address: http://www.bibbulmuntrack.org.au/ >

My Mum’s wonderful, gentle natured Golden Retriever ‘Gunner’ – taken as he looks at her adoringly! x Gunner – very inappropriately named by the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association from which he came as an 18 month old ‘reject’. He had failed to make the required standard to be a fully fledged ‘Seeing Eye Dog’ as he proved to be terrified by loud noises. Mum adopted him and he is now relaxed and content beyond belief! /
I first heard of Virginia Woolf when I was at school. She was a writer that always interested me from a young age. Later in my life I had a sad encounter while sitting in an art gallery and looking at one of my paintings. I suddenly saw her within the layers of paint. The experience upset me greatly because it depicted her demise as she walked into The River Ouse and drowned. Virginia has a presence in my life that I cherish greatly. I hope one day to write a book about the whole experience which has been truly remarkable. In Summer 2008 I had the opportunity to re-read Orlando which was first published in 1928. It tells the story of a young man named Orlando, born in England during the reign of Elizabeth I, who decides not to grow old. He does not, and he passes through the ages as a young man … until he wakes up one morning to find that he has metamorphosed into a woman – the same person, with the same personality and intellect, but in a woman’s body. The remaining centuries up to the time the book was written are seen through a woman’s eyes. While re- reading the book I suddenly became aware of Virginia’s state of mind and the difficulties she experienced in her life. I sat down and wrote for two hours. I felt like I had been in a trance and realised later that I had my first experience of automatic writing. / In my writings she explained the difficulties that she had experienced throughout her life. The insurmountable problems she not only felt but could also hear. Today I know that Virginia had Spiritual guides who were trying to communicate with her as she was a Sensitive. However times were difficult when she was alive and she thought she was going mad. There was no one she could confide in because she feared the worst. / I have been very fortunate to have a wonderful mentor and friend who guides me on my path of Spiritual discovery and therefore I don’t feel isolated or alone. / I end this dedication in Virginia’s own words, which she left Leonard on the 28th March 1941: / I feel certain that I am going mad again. I feel we can’t go through another of those terrible times. And I shan’t recover this time. I begin to hear voices, and I can’t concentrate. So I am doing what seems the best thing to do. You have given me the greatest possible happiness. You have been in every way all that anyone could be. I don’t think two people could have been happier ‘til this terrible disease came. I can’t fight any longer. I know that I am spoiling your life, that without me you could work. And you will I know. You see I can’t even write this properly. I can’t read. What I want to say is I owe all the happiness of my life to you. You have been entirely patient with me and incredibly good. I want to say that — everybody knows it. If anybody could have saved me it would have been you. Everything has gone from me but the certainty of your goodness. I can’t go on spoiling your life any longer. I don’t think two people could have been happier than we have been. V. / I dedicate this work to Virginia Woolf my cherished Spiritual Guide and friend. Thutmose III (sometimes read as Thutmosis or Tuthmosis III and meaning Son of Thoth) was the sixth Pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty. During the first twenty-two years of Thutmose’s reign he was co-regent with his aunt, Hatshepsut, who was named the Pharaoh. While she is shown first on surviving monuments, both were assigned the usual royal names and insignia and neither is given any obvious seniority over the other. He served as the head of her armies. After her death and his later rise to being the Pharaoh of the Kingdom, he created the largest empire Egypt had ever seen; no fewer than seventeen campaigns were conducted, and he conquered from Niy in North Syria to the fourth waterfall of the Nile in Nubia. After his years of campaigning were over, he established himself as a great builder. Thutmose III was responsible for building over fifty temples in Egypt and building massive additions to Egypt’s chief temple at Karnak. New levels of artistic skills were reached during his reign, as well as unique architectural developments never seen before and never again after his reign. The mummy of Thutmose III now resides in the Royal Mummies Hall of the Cairo Museum, catalogue – number 61068. This painting I dedicate to the memory of Thutmose III 2nd February 2009
