  • Sandsend, near Whitby, North Yorkshire, England. The sun rising over the cliffs at dawn and the sea at low tide leaving still waters behind.

  • Taken at Happisburgh on the Norfolk coast. Unfortunately it was too cloudy to capture the sunrise :( / Got a handful of shots that almost justified getting up at 5am on a Sunday!

  • Taken at spurn point, these eroded groynes/wavebreakers wers partially submerged in the sea. I then decided the image would work better as an abstract, so did a bit of messing about in PS.

  • 3 miles north of the English seaside town, Whitby, is the small village of Sandsend. The beach is littered with these weathered groynes. If you catch them at the right time you can have great fun with a long expsoure and receeding tide.

  • It was a windy, cold, dark day, sheets of rain bounced off my car window, my windscreen wipers working overtime, i waited….then very brieflythe rain lifted, the suns glow pushing its way through the low cloud base, allowing me time to run over to this spot and capture this before the rain once again enveloped me….. i wanted an exposure to flatten the mushy waves but to keep some of the texture in the clouds…..............hope you like. Canon 50D / f10 / 10-22mm@12mm / 10sec / av mode / ndx400 and a grad
