  • I took this pic, while walking my dogs through the woods in the rain. I just couldn’t resist this ‘red carpet’. Taken on Allen Road, Warkworth, Ontario.

  • Title says it all :) There was a huge pile of leaves to choose from and I found this one on top of the heap. I never took closeups of leaves before so I discovered something I never realized before…....The colored shiny sides of the leaves held little or no droplets and the back sides of the leaves held all of the tiny droplets perfectly. Never knew that :)

  • Another shot from my cemetery series. This shot really caught my eye, man lays asleep waiting for the resurrection and nature lays dormant waiting for that breath of new life come spring. The orange of the leaves is a promise and a sign of hope that this is not the end of life but only the beginning. / / More in this cemetery series: / / / / / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / /

  • A different take on the tree of dreams Subservient inspired THIS wonderful piece of writing from a very talented RB Writer – adgray – go spend a little time with her to read and dream! “I kowtow to your greatness the blue that is impossibly you / I have no colour to contend with the iridescence of you / I cannot reach as high as you / I cannot be as wide as you / But please don’t forget will you / That without me and my kind … / .... there is no impossibly iridescent great blue you!” Said the thirsty tree to the glorious cloudless sky of blue! adgray

  • Made for a school assignment in photography. / The theme we had to work with was ‘Time’. / I hope the title and the image explain my concept. Photography – PP – Me. / Model: Ralph Lindsen © Vallendester photography by Wendy Senssen

  • Model – Millie Claire / MUA – Cloe Bunter of Makeup by Cloe Pentacon Six TL + Kodak Portra 160VC / I won’t show the digital versions, seems to have caused a little friction on dA ;) Needless to say if you’re familiar with the original Snow White text, you might just know what this is about :D Melbourne’s Parklands have very photogenic footpaths. I believe this was shot in the Queen Vic Park… I dunno, it was hot and there were a LOT of parks. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

  • Initially, this piece was about burying dreams. What happens when there’s nothing left but to let go of everything, abandon hope, and walk away to let God do what he pleases… 3 years later, still struggling, I found that a branch had in fact, taken root, with a stubborn leaf defiant against the barren land and winter sky… This piece took 3 years for me to complete. (Its not for sale because, due to size, I can’t get a reproduction that is good enough quality.) My faith holds as resolutely (and defiantly in the face of circumstances) as the leaf. Collage and acrylic ink. The branch is real. The leaf I made. (For the works on paper group: I made this on stretched butcher paper. I used that paper because it was brown and because I could actually stretch it over stretcher bars. I haven’t had much luck doing that with thicker papers. There are also countless papers collaged into the piece. The leaf is made entirely of papers—tissue papers and others.) Featured in Works on Paper. :) (1396 views)

  • I’ve worked this in Picasa3 and Microsoft Picture It 9 which I have resurected and am loving the things it can do!

  • Bench in the early morning fog taken just outside a senior’s residence in Deux-Montagnes, Quebec on Friday October 24/08. This bench faces the Lake of Two Mountains and under normal circumstances would afford a great view of the lake. / I am really honoured that Alyssa (adgray) upon viewing this image wrote a lovely poem that is a perfect match to the emotion I wanted to convey with this work. / Here it is: WAITING OUT TIME / “There’s always someone sitting here / every day for the last sixty years / They shuffle up and rest their bones / and wait a while before going home They take their turn to enjoy their repose / sometimes sharing sometimes alone / They might overlap with the newer ones / vacating their place as their time comes Who were these dwellers of this bench / why is it’s usage so entrenched / They come to wait ‘til their time is done / ironic though as time waits for no one” / adgray Featured in the Benches group December 2008 / Featured in the Live, Love, Dream group October 2008

  • A springtime rural scene. Created entirely in 3D using Carrara software

  • I wonder where this path leads? During a motorcycle trip to Georgia, I passed by this scene and just had to turn around. The ground fog was just wicked, it was shrouding this path which I presume belongs to a rural farm. Taken with the Nikon D300 and Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 lens. HDR processing and Orton effect applied, as well as some dodge & burn.

  • Canon 50D | ISO 100 | f11 | 2.5 | 10mm About Lake Moogerah ah la Lake Fog. The sun was rising to the left, but the colours in the sky, oh my. A very dominating foreground, perhaps too much so. Processing HDR (-1, 0, +1). Processed in Photomatix and then back to LR2 and PS for some Soft Light, sharpening and clarity.

  • These autumn leaves cover the ground at La Trobe University at Beechworth, Victoria, Australia. This was taken in autumn with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera and 18-55mm lens.
