I took this pic, while walking my dogs through the woods in the rain. I just couldn’t resist this ‘red carpet’.
One rainbow…one member of airport ground control…then add a healthy dose of belief in being able to achieve anything you set yourself towards…and there you have it! ;) For Nat’s reveal yourself challenge

Initially, this piece was about burying dreams. What happens when there’s nothing left but to let go of everything, abandon hope, and walk away to let God do what he pleases… 3 years later, still struggling, I found that a branch had in fact, taken root, with a stubborn leaf defiant against the barren land and winter sky… This piece took 3 years for me to complete. (Its not for sale because, due to size, I can’t get a reproduction that is good enough quality.) My faith holds as resolutely (and defiantly in the face of circumstances) as the leaf. Collage and acrylic ink. The branch is real. The leaf I made. (For the works on paper group: I made this on stretched butcher paper. I used that paper because it was brown and because I could actually stretch it over stretcher bars. I haven’t had much luck doing that with thicker papers. There are also countless papers collaged into the piece. The leaf is made entirely of papers—tissue papers and others.)
This picture was taken at Seven Falls, CO. These little squirrels hang out around the cafe to steal some food when no one is looking.

I looked over an edge to see a fourth angel fallen on the ‘crete. If I get up and stand again, I’ll want to tumble to the ground was all it said. Thankyou to my wonderful model Yasemin who was extremely helpful in setting up the shot. The Ground Angel Series / / / /
Enjoy!

Title says it all :) There was a huge pile of leaves to choose from and I found this one on top of the heap. I never took closeups of leaves before so I discovered something I never realized before…....The colored shiny sides of the leaves held little or no droplets and the back sides of the leaves held all of the tiny droplets perfectly. Never knew that :)

A different take on the tree of dreams Subservient inspired THIS wonderful piece of writing from a very talented RB Writer – adgray – go spend a little time with her to read and dream! “I kowtow to your greatness the blue that is impossibly you / I have no colour to contend with the iridescence of you / I cannot reach as high as you / I cannot be as wide as you / But please don’t forget will you / That without me and my kind … / .... there is no impossibly iridescent great blue you!” Said the thirsty tree to the glorious cloudless sky of blue! adgray

Watercolour / Original Sold, Oct 08. / Full sheet Arches 300gsm (stretched with nail gun) Based on a photo of people viewing the construction taking place in Ground Zero. The viewing platform, inside the American Express Building, was originally a marble wall but was replaced with glass when the building was repaired after 9/11 so that people could come and view the area. The people were respectfully quiet as they look on as the site was being rebuilt.
