  • An old water fountain in Bannerman Park. / St. John’s, Newfoundland. / / ..................................... / Click here to add me to your watch list. / .....................................

  • Vast rows of deciduous trees can be seen in perfect columns, displaying their autumn attire, at this tree farm in eastern Oregon. Tree farmers sow rows of trees in varying stages so they can be harvested at different times and therefore produce a constant yield to maintain a consistent gross. Eastern Oregon October 2007

  • Failed funparks #2497

  • From the traveling exhibit Mother.Culture. / Currently showing in Sacramento’s Phantom Gallery through January 2008. / Contact Rachel Valley to make an appointment for a private showing. Mother.Culture Page This work stems from reading blogs and articles surrounding public breastfeeding. I saw great support in the articles and quite the opposite. Men and women describing breastfeeding as “dirty and gross”.

  • There are rules regarding food at kids parties! Grab the brightest and messiest stuff you can find, mix in a whole bunch of sugar and preservatives, and, where possible, put several items into your mouth at one time. If you can mix sweet and savoury together, then all the better. This shirt celebrates the junction of two great party foods: Fairy Bread and Hot Dogs. It’s the FAIRY DOG. Go on, I know you want one. EXTRA NOTES: A fairy dog says “happy birthday” just as much as champagne says “congratulations”. Eating fairy dogs brings back your youth. Fairy dogs are the national dish of Partistan. While fairy dogs are fine with tomato sauce (ketchup), they should never be consumed with mustard. That’s just gross. If you are celebrating a very important and formal occasion, this recipe may be altered slightly by replacing the “hundreds & thousands” (pretty coloured sugary sprinkles) with those really posh little sugary silver balls on which you can also break a tooth.

  • A great big funky stomach.

  • I’m sure that’s just some tomato sauce…..He’s just a messy eater is all.

  • You gotta love it.

  • Toolshed for an abandoned Quarry near Newberry, South Carolina. I used a tonemapping filter in Photoshop CS4 to even out the highlight and shadow, and reduce the contrast to a more manageable level. This is 100% of the filter’s effect. The contrast in the original Kodachrome slide is out there.

  • Featured in ImageWriting Group – May 16, 2009 / Featured in AMERICAS ~ Rural, Urban, Wild, Free – May 16, 2009 / Featured in DSLR Users Only – May 12, 2009 Deemed the oldest steam engine in North America, the old #3, originally built in Scotland in 1882, just returned to the rails on Sunday after a 7 year restoration project to bring it up to standards. I was lucky enough to be going through the small town of Grosse Isle, Manitoba on Sunday and stopped to get some shots. As I passed by the old steamer and it hissed at me, it was a sort of odd feeling to get out of the way. It was parked in this spot for awhile on the Prairie Dog Central Railway nostalgic train ride. I did wait till it took off back to Winnipeg and got the steam coming from it and the genuine coal smoke from its huge smoke stack. The bell on the top there is in ringing position as you can see, what a nice sound it was. / Dynamic Photo HDR; Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi; 17-85mm lens / /

  • I always wondered what i’d look like as a zombie… / and now we know.

  • My entry into the Drawing Day warmup challenge... create a new avatar… and that’s what I did. This ended up being a bit of an homage to a very old Chris Wahl sketch that was one of the things that first made me want to draw comics. Long story… perhaps I’ll tell you about it one day.

  • A whimsical depiction of a snail. / Created with oil pastels, colored pencils, art pens and paint pens.
