Featured in The Patchwork July 6, 2009. As always, a gander on full size is recommended This wonderful old barn is located on the outskirts of Pavia, Pennsylvania along route 869. Image taken on the snowy afternoon of January 20, 2009 with the Nikon D40x and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. Post Processing included hdr in Photomatix from a single hand-held image duplicated twice in Photoshop to an eval of 1 1/2 +/- then back to Photoshop for a quick Orton.

Well if you wonder what the weather is like here this image sort of says it all. Cold and Snowy! I went out before dawn on Sunday before church looking for sunrise. there was none so I shifted gears and and found my self lieing in the snow and ice to get a low enough angle to capture the Ice reaching across the waters of the Tieton River after a week or more of sub-freezing temperatures. By the way it is snowing again!
