After a day of hot tar roofing, it’s hard to see where the dirt stops and the person begins. Taken in natural light.
Oh my God, that’s some funky $#¡†!
I needed to touch the grimy floor / to assure myself that in actuality, I wasn’t racing.
Is this an ‘anti-photography’ sign or what?!

and indeed it did storm, alot, snow, alot, rain, alot, so worrying when your halfway up a mountain with one other person realising your sugar levels have dramatically dropped and there is slate being carried down the hill by the amount of water that was coming down from the sky… haha oh what fun i had in wales…
Howard, RI water tower captured on a blustery New England “spring” day. Simple compositions work best for TtV. The sky was very gray, almost stormy, and the sun was about to set. Nikon D40 shot through a modified cereal box and then through the lens of a Carlton-Reflex camera. No photoshop other than the crop tool. Water Tower TtV #2 was featured on the Redbubble Home Page on January 18, 2009 and is featured in the group TTV: Through The Viewfinder. Also available as a t-shirt: / (c) Paul Lavallee 2008 /

Shot in Near Brick Lane in East London. There’s a nice dichotomy between the purity of milk and the the grungy, threatening nature of the graffiti covered door. Canon 10D / 15-30mm lens at 30mm / 1/60th sec at f5.6 / ISO 100
My husband and I went for a walk in the Old Port of Montreal, not very far from home, last Sunday. We eventually wandered away from the water, and into the neighbouring streets. We found some overpasses with a lot of character. Not only had they interesting graffitis on their posts and walls, but some homeless people had built small shelters within their arches, with whatever materials they could find. I thought that it was sad and fascinating at the same. Sad, because being homeless in a country with winters as cold as we have is a terrible plight. However, I was fascinated to see how resourceful these people might be to improve a bit on their daily lives. Focal length 55mm / ISO-400 / Aperture f/9 / Shutter 1/160 sec. This is Cocker Alley in Melbourne CBD, off Flinders Lane. I have been playing around with post processing for a few days on this one, trying to make this work, and nothing did. Then I came across Trinx portfolio, who’s awesome urban art photography inspired me enough to create this. Melbourne is such a unique city with it’s lanes and alleys to explore. This one didn’t look anywhere near this grimy, but I wanted a feel of a darker place, a seedier environment of the underbelly of the city. I’d encourage anyone who visits Melbourne to take a bit of time to explore the many unique alleys through the CBD, don’t know what you might find down them! Its a dirty job, but someones gotta do it. / Tribute to the boys and girls in blue and the good work they do. / A layering of my photographs. / New Zealand Police car taken on the Southern Motorway, Auckland. / Image of fist (mine) / Pic of graffiti. / Layered together in GIMP. / I needed to do something with the pic of the policecar and the graffiti, so I sat and fiddled around with it until 1am. Seems strange to me that someone would tag an historic structure (where graffiti pic was shot) with an incongruous Barbie pink paint. / The layering of the two pics looks very urban, but one was taken in a Department of Conservation reserve at Urquharts Bay. The other was taken out of my hotel window looking along Mayoral Drive Auckland New Zealand. Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ7 Featured in “Light in the Darkness” group.
