Port Fairy, Western Victoria, Australia. / (10 image stitch of almost 180 degrees)
Took a different approach for the photoshpcreative07 competition and decided to reverse the concept. Here a lone survivor condemned to a future of infinite chaos manages to escape back into a alternate past of infinite possibility. This could be a physical escape or projected from within the travellers mind; an internal escape to fantasy, much like the ending of Brazil. Have since sold the image for use on the cover of the Griffith Review – yay.
Taken between Griffith and Yass, just a quick snapshot while on way to Sydney, too good not to stop and snap.
Taken at Pioneer Park, Griffith. Pioneer park has old buildings from the area setup as they were in days past. This was a shot from inside the general store.

Pink tones after the sun had dipped below the horizon. The end of yet another day.. / Griffiths Island is just off the coast of Port Fairy. Victorian Coastline.
This happens to be one of my favorite shots. Mainly because of the fantastic natural tones that make me feel, like I was back there..Like I had opened a door and could step into the scene. For me, this is what HDR is all about, tyring to give you that feeling like you did when you took the shot…Comments most welcome on this one…cheers, rob.

Since 1859, the Griffiths Island Lighthouse has faithfully guided ships into the security of historic Port Fairy located on the Moyne River. It is located at the end of a very scenic 400 metres walk across the island. It was incredibly hot the day I took this photo and I did not take any water with me on the walk. Next time I WILL take water. See www.lighthouse.net.au
