As morning breaks, a dramatic sky threatens to flood the ground below with light. Reminiscent of a plane coming in to land.
This is a type of atmospheric halo, shot during the early afternoon almost directly overhead.
I took this photograph while visiting my family in Switzerland. This is my aunt’s orchard, during one of those long, foggy winters when everything seems perpetually covered in hoarfrost. Treated in photoshop. Unfortunately, I took this before I upgraded to a Canon Rebel, so it’s low res and only available as a card here on RB, though I’ve successfully enlarged it to a 5×7.

The water was so clear over in The Maldives that you could clearly see from about 15 meters away. I miss it :)

Made with Ultra Fractal. I need more of these, as the temps are austere and cold right now. I’ve been less active on RB, due to the lingering effects of a nasty cold. I feel somewhat tired and weak. Thanks a lot for the great support and faves. :)
