Wellington, New Zealand 1965. A typical (then) wet, cold and windy day… / wonder why I moved to Australia way back then!
came across this today while out driving, was no sooner out the car that it started to rain, which turned out for the best as it probably looks better like this rather than bathed in sunshine. (Located in Warners Road, just off Geelong Ballan Road.) / /
A rather severe rainstorm approaching Geelong. Taken at Ceres, just West of Geelong. Pentax istDS Camera.
This rain storm was sweeping across the paddocks, but wasn’t quite heavy enough to make it to the ground.
Enjoy! _

This stencil was created in early 2008 inspired by fashion photography and damp cold London. Recently cut stencil with one layer from an older stencil of a zebra in pink on her dress, with hand drawn cobbled stones. The canvas itself is 3 times in length this is just a mere snap shot of the original piece. This piece is 1 of 3, utilising the same same stencil and composition of works I’ve posted on Red Bubble at the moment. The other is ‘snow and umbrella’ and ‘rain birds’
Guess my head is in the clouds these days. Probably from being in the mountains during the past weekend. Taken Wednesday May 21st/08 as an impending storm circulated the Lake of Two Mountains, Deux-Montagnes, Qyuebec, Canada!
hahah there was a place where the clouds were cross and grumpy. so it rained and rained and rained. / it rained so much the water and land started to take on a life of its own. / and they grew little mushrooms out of there head, more for fun than anything, lets just say they enjoyed a good shrubbery ;3 this took a really long time / 20 mins to sketch but 3 days to vector :D / i hope you all enjoy
I’d driven from the scottish borders to ben nevis, (the highest peak in uk) to meet some damp friends through low cloud and light rain…so the few shots I took were pretty glum and dismal looking….. But after slight tweaking I liked the wetness of this classic sight with every blade of grass just laden with moisture and the light rain still falling… Typical camping weather! / / View large to see in full ‘soggy-vision’ ... ;)) Taken with an old compact nikon coolpix 4800

We only had one day of rain during our vacation at Prospect Lake, Bracebridge Ontario. We can’t complain! August 2008 Top Ten placement in the Mood & Ambience challenge-Plastic February 2009 / Featured in the Mood and Ambience group February 2009

Emperor Tamarin The fur of the Emperor Tamarin is predominantly grey colored, with yellowish speckles on its chest. The hands and feet are black and the tail is brown. Outstanding is its long, white mustache, which extends to both sides beyond the shoulders. This primate inhabits tropical rain forests, living deep in the forest and also in open tree-covered areas. This diurnal species walks or runs quadrupedally through the forest, spending the majority of its days in the trees with quick, safe movements and broad jumps among the limbs. The diet of the Emperor Tamarin is similar to that of other tamarins. It is an omnivore, primarily eating fruits, insects and sap. When feeding on sap, the Emperor Tamarin latches on to the tree vertically with its claws dug into the bark of the tree. It also eats bird eggs and small vertebrates (such as tree frogs). Due to its small weight it can reach food at the far end of branches, which are not accessible to heavier animals.

Captured in between rain showers, just after dawn at The Split Point Lighthouse at Aireys Inlet, on The Great Ocean Road. Pentax istDS Camera. An HDR image with three exposures bracketed and processed using Dynamic Photo HDR. Please feel free to browse through my website: Phil Thomson IPA Photography I hope you enjoy the experience.

by Eva. Untouched, as is, straight from the camera – Penkax k20d. This is a berberitz (not sure if it is called that in English) which I spotted in Baden-Baden, Germany. We were walking along a street after a rain shower and I played around with DoF. The background is actually a tarmac road. Usually, the last thing I would want in a nature photograph is to show hard and dark tarmac but I liked the warm grey tone offsetting the red hues of the berberitz. I found it gave an elegant touch, along with the jewel-like drops. / Thanks for looking and reading! / ;o)
I was asked what the original photograph of Rain Falling (before I made it a black and white) looked like and decided to post it. Hope you enjoy.
