A dad and son play football on the beach in Grenada – What a wonderful place – One of the few places still left pretty much alone from tourism.
The Mona Monkey (Cercopithecus mona) is an Old World monkey. Originally from west Africa they can also be found in the Caribbean, I found this little chap in Grenada.
In the wonderful waters of the Caribbean… the little girl wanted to continue to play but had to stay in the shallow waters. Ultimately, they ended up playing together again :)

In Grenada, ocean far below, so that fence was needed! Great place to find that cutie pie!

My old, beater car. Needs work done to the brakes, but I just can’t find the parts easily for a price I can afford. And it’s V-8 gets so-so gas mileage. So it just sits there patiently waiting for me to get the money and parts to fix it up as a spare car….
The two window decals in the back window of my 1977 Ford Grenada. They and the interior are showing the ravages of time and the harsh Southern sun.
Whoever had this car before me got a really bad paint job on it. The sun and elements are making the paint peel and fall off. Plus the neighborhood demons like throwing rotten eggs at it too.
A day later and it’s snowing and accumulating on my old Grenada….

Meditation is essential and very spiritual to me. There is nothing like losing all conscious train of thought and body to restore the heart and soul. This is my favorite place to go! Well, actually, I rest above this little Island on a cloud, as I peer down upon it and gaze at it’s glorious beauty! “Sandy Island,” which is totally desolate and located about a half mile off of Carriacou is one of the prettiest little stretches of beautiful white sand that I have ever seen. When I was there in 1996, I think a part of me wanted to hide so that I could be happily stranded when a boat was to come pick us up – lol! It was so tranquil and peaceful there. To learn more about Sandy Island, click here Carriacou is one of the three Islands of the Grenadines in the West Indies. It is an extremely delightful and very small Island, fifteen miles long and five miles wide, at its broadest point. Someday I do hope to return, although, as you can see, I have never left! That speaks volumes, as I try to travel to new areas in order to feed my innate lust for travel and new learning adventures! Grenada is also an incredible Island, which I would love to revisit as well! Sometimes I use guided meditation to get me into a trance quicker than normal, sometimes just relaxation music, as I am adding here and other times, I just go into trance with a mantra. Either way, the result is the same…I am always refreshed, clear headed and relaxed afterwards. As I lay on my cloud with no weight whatsover and glimpse the island below me, I find myself floating with no feeling of body, mind or matter. Pain, whether it be emotional or physical simply dissolves. This is for my Spirit Sis Terri Enjoy!! :)))))))) yep – smiling!! I hope the rest of you will enjoy it as well! Here’s a clip of soft sea sounds to help carry you into the incredible journey of mindlessness
Ah, this boat couldn’t get me there fast enough! It’s a wonder that I wasn’t sitting on the bow of the boat, as I often do on the most boat trips (if I am not at the tiller), which I have taken in my life! I’m pretty sure that I asked, but was forbidden. Sandy Island is located about a half mile off of the coast of Carriacou, one of the three Grendadine Islands, located in the West Indies. Sandy Island is and was my paradise and always will be! This photograph was shot in 1996. My parent’s had found a house to rent in Grenada for two months. My husband and I went over for almost 3 weeks. During our incredible stay in Grenada, we all decided to take a puddle jumper to Carriacou and stayed for 3 nights. Now, that was living the life that dreams are made of! Carriacou is only 15 miles long and populated by 5,000 inhabitants – well, that’s if you don’t count dogs. I fell in love with a lot of dogs there, but that is nothing unusual for me!! Unfortunately, nobody would let me take them home…I truly wanted to, as they needed and wanted love so badly…This photograph was shot with a Canon Digital Rebel – the old film user, that I may just have to put back into action! It seems only right to honor this picture with Enya’s Carribean Blue! This song has special meaning to me, because it was chosen as a remembrance song to honor the sinking of the Pride of Baltimore I. I always feel a deep sense of sadness when I listen to it, yet, I also know that those who died, did so doing what they loved to do. When my time is up, I hope it’ll be the same!! So here’s to the fallen as well…
Great little colourful houses nestled in the rolling hills of Grenada, known as being the spice capital of the world! Got the best vanilla here ever! It’s a pity the place is so run down. Grenada, part of The Caribbean
An old church in Grenada, WI, claimed by the ravages of time and hurricanes. Thanks so much for stopping by—my other work can be seen by theme here….......
