/ MY GALLERY Mouse on yellow leaf. He might be cute but he is a wild mouse. I got a few shot of him before he decided to run back to nature. I read one book about animals one day and I found out that this little fellow is a little harvest mouse (micromys minutus). He is quite rare in the islands in Estonia. The Sea Venture was one of the first ships to arrive in Bermuda. It was thrown accidentally off course by a hurricane and landed on the reefs intact. Its original course was with a fleet from England headed towards / Jamestown, Virginia to aid in the colonization. From being shipwrecked, the crew and passengers of the Sea Venture settled in Bermuda and benefitted from its tropical paradise and set up a small colony. This painting is a Mixed Media piece, combining original digital photography taken in Bermuda by me SBC, with my painting, and drawings. It is intended to capture the natural and surreal beauty of Bermuda through my eyes. This art won an Honorable Mention Award in the Rowayton Art Show in 2006 and First Place in the Darien Art Show in 2007. It is presently being considered for exhibition at the Royal Navy Dockyard Museum in Bermuda. Thank you for your interest, comments and purchases!

Bengal Tigers Critically Endangered The Bengal tiger, or Royal Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris or Panthera tigris bengalensis) is a subspecies of tiger primarily found in Bangladesh, India, and also Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and southern Tibet. The white bengel tiger is not an albino, it has blue eyes. The white coat and light features are caused by a recessive gene. Very few survive in the wild because they do not have the ability to camoflauge themselves in their suroundings. Sadly, there are those who breed them for their exotic looks all for money. Because they occur so rarely, many orange tigers die or are mistreated in the process. Tigers are solitary hunters. They love the water, and are not afraid to chase their prey down into the water. In fact, this is how tigers often get food. The wait for an animal to be drinking at a water hole, then scares the animal into the water, where the tiger will chase it farther into deeper waters, making it easier to catch. Tigers have retractable claws. This enables them to walk through rocky, grassy, muddy, or sandy areas without dulling their claws, which they need to hunt with. Comments about this work This shot was underexposed with a great deal of noise. I thought it too precious to delete, so I worked it like crazy with filters, colorizing, etc. I’m rather happy with the outcome considering it was otherwise headed for the recycle bin. Highly edited!

Beauty Of A Thorn This well-known thistle is a true nightmare to all the local farmers. At one point I think there was even a law passed saying that people could be fined if it was found growing unchecked on their property. / It is such an invasive plant that it will take over an entire pasture or field, and farm animals won’t/can’t eat it, and it’s a real problem in the hay. / On the other hand, its a blessing for the many butterflies that migrate through this area, and it provides much-needed food and energy for the pretty little creatures that have such long flights ahead of them, or maybe are just at the end of their life spans. / I have also noticed that hummingbirds love it as well. Being a photographer, I do love its exotic blooms and the many photo opportunities it provides. / The sad but true thing is, the only way to control it is to destroy it completely! It’s amazing that something so beautiful and so useful for the nectar lovers, is also such a thorn in the side for the farmers. / Photo taken along a road side in NW Arkansas, USA. Bea is a female jaguar puppy. It is a clear example of how life find its way despite of difficulties… / She was born in the World Zoo Park Guillena in Seville (Andalusia, Spain) three months ago and was the only one alive of its litter. She were separated from ther mother because of a problem of growth. She sleeps in this straw basket. She is affectionate and playful.
