  • Every spring this gorgeous orange-apricot rose initiates a delighted “Wow! Just Joey’s got thirteen buds!” , and we know summer’s almost here! This delightful bush somehow manages to come through every year, in spite of the ever increasing shade from the tall fir trees surrounding our home.

  • Cyclamen rev up in the fall and keep on shining through the winter and into spring – a very welcome sight when all the leaves outside have fallen and the sun forgets to shine. 9”x 9” watercolor on Arches 140 cold press. Rain or shine, we can so fully appreciate the beauty God has given us in the surrounding cathedral of towering fir trees, and, in the warmer months, the radiant colors of the garden flowers. • A fuchsia named Lisa, straight from the camera.

  • This is one of my favorite little places in NW Arkansas, its peaceful and quiet from the sounds of man that is. The forest is alive with the songs of the birds, and the animals that scurry throughout the forest. and of woodpeckers that sound like a jack hammer echoing throughout the woods. Mother nature at its finest! As Is…. / Canon PowerShot S3 IS

  • Emerald Paradise As Is… / Canon PowerShot S3 IS Rainbow Springs Florida’s third largest spring, Rainbow Springs pump 600 million gallons of water daily and serves as the head water to the pristine Rainbow River. The property was acquired by the State Park Service in 1990 and is slowly being allowed to revert to its natural state. / Beautiful floral gardens surround the spring, and the area is immensely popular in the spring when the azaleas are in bloom. The state also acquired Rainbow Springs State Campground, located nearby, which was formerly privately owned. From the campground, you can tube or canoe the crystalline waters of Rainbow River, or fish for large mouth bass and other freshwater species. / A nature trail provides a lovely walk past two waterfalls and the azalea gardens, and meanders along the Rainbow River. / /

  • ~ Rising Up ~ Its so refreshing to see the spring flowers after a long winter season, to watch the new colors rise to the calling of a new spring. / In my yard, Tulips bloom from late March through April, and / a few on into mid to late May . / Planting anywhere from 3 inches to 7inches deep, extends the blooming season considerably. I plant some a bit shallow, / for early blooms. Planting at different depths will insure there is a pretty patch gracing the landscape somewhere. As Is… / Canon PowerShot S3 IS If you would you like to ADD YOUR OWN WORDS to create a personal sentiment to this as a greeting card, please / “Contact Me, on Contact This Artist on my Store Front. / I will make it personal from YOU, to YOUR friends, and relatives. / Nothing like those first tulips in bloom, while the trees are still so bare. • ” ~ For My Friend Byron ~ 11” / / ~ In Loving Memory of your Mother ~ / / The long winter has passed, and it’s such a joy to see the forest come alive with new buds, and the Dogwoods in bloom. I find myself strolling along through the forest gazing at these blossoms as they brighten up the early spring sky. Native Dogwoods are small shrubs varying in size, and height that thrive under Arkansas hardwood forest. The blooms are approx 1 inch in diameter. Blooms in mid-May. / / If you would you like to ADD YOUR OWN WORDS to create a personal sentiment to this as a greeting card, please / Contact Me / I will make it personal from YOU, to YOUR friends. / / FEATURED IN SPRING BLOOMS 1 24 009

  • I took this sometime in the summer in my bathroom. There was a giant spiderweb on the window so I sprayed it with water… most of it ended up on the window which is the bokeh you seen in the background. Enjoy!

  • This was an experiment with objects and how light bounces off of them. I found this spring and put a few seed beads on it which gave off a weird bokeh effect when placed on a CD. I used my sigma macro lens and the flash on my camera… More experimenting to come though! Enjoy!

  • Another experiment with a spring and using a CD as a reflective background. More experimenting to come with these! :D Enjoy!

  • as is fuji finepix S5800 Yellow crocus macro / /

  • Third in the series… three drops.. nothing too special. I shall explain the crazy set-up for this one… I had the tiny green spring (which was strung with seed beads) resting on a CD with a shiny gift bow as the background. I used a syringe to place the water drops and used my flash as well. Haha, it makes sense to me! Enjoy!

  • Daffodils in the soft spring sunlight seem to me to be pure sunshine. The original painting is watercolour on Fabriano Artistico 140lb cold press paper, 12.5×10 inches. The exciting news is that it has already been featured on RedBubble!

  • Summer Breeze a beautiful poem by the same title by a dear friend of mine Anne Van Alkemade / Inspired by the song Summer Breeze / by Seals and Croft Also inspired by myself and my experience of having bugs and insects come to try and take up residence in my ears… scrabbling around in there, getting all comfy…while I’m going crazy…click beetles, houseflies and spiders so far have all tried this… lol This is a girl who has an affinity with nature, and as the summer breezes begin to blow here in Australia…....the animals are drawn to live in her hair thinking that it must be branches of a tree… yes, my hair’s that dry… :) I thought it a fitting one for summer, hope you like her… Pencil drawing took me about 3 hours / Digital colouring – 10 hours / Total time 13 hours
