This is perfect evening / for your little chalk crime, / on playground few blocks away / there is a place you know about. And when sun, / that shiny lady rise up again / there will be message for her / in her own language / only for her.

This shot it is indicative of what all of the hillsides here in southern New Hampshire looked like when all of the trees started showing their new leaf buds. The colors were amazing with shades ranging from deep dark greens to light yellows and even some reds all intermingled. I’ve taken dozens of pictures of these colorful spring hillsides, but pictures just don’t do justice to the beauty they behold when seen by the naked eye. (Of course, that could be just because I am a still a beginner at this craft and have lots and lots to learn yet). I hope you see the beauty here that I saw in these hills. Enjoy! -Len /

This particular piece started out a background for potential other pieces that might be born at some unspecified date. I changed the original, but re-saved it under a different file name. Then I played with it some more, until this emerged. I used the variation from the second change as the start for the digital painting L’euphorisme du ballet, en peinture

The designers of these gardens really know there stuff. This is another Floriade photo, can’t remember which year, may have been 07. The gardens are often laid out in color blocks (see ‘pink tulip’ and ‘sea of gold’) but this one was different and the choice of colour tones really appealed to me!
