.....Ok, so this is actually in Coburg…sadly this funny old building is in the process of being dismantled. So many buildings I photo no longer exist in the physical….I guess thats called “Progress”

This was an old abandoned home that was located on a bay. It was such a beautiful location and so sad to see that no one was living there. One the side of the home there was this window with weathered beaten curtains blowing about.

This is a view of my wall behind my computer with the light coming through my blind in the afternoon. I love the little patterns it makes on the wall and I couldn’t decide which one I liked most so I had to make a triptych. I hope you enjoy it too!

The view looking out onto Broad Street from a third-floor window of the Divine Lorraine Hotel in Philadelphia, PA. The hotel, which has been abandoned since the late ‘90s, takes it’s name from the leader of the Universal Peace Mission movement, Father Divine (aka George Baker) who housed his followers on it’s premises. Shot on Fuji Velvia 50 film with a Rolleiflex medium format camera.

At the masquerade ball held at her favorite boite, La Grenouille Grincheuse (“The Grumpy Frog”), Mathilde d’Asperge contemplates giving in to temptation. Ah, the allure of the Green Fairy, who could resist? Surely the dashing Duke Throbbleton would see her home safely should she become…indisposed. He hadn’t seemed to mind last week, but then again, she was a bit fuzzy on the details. Just a small glass or two and she would be just in time for a midnight ride on the enthralling Royal Hippodrome, ballooning under a crescent moon as Paris lay glittering beneath her feet! Man sleeping on the pavement in the French Quarter of Pondicherry. I was struck by the complimentary colours in the scene while driving by and stopped to take a few pics. Then the sadness took over. Nikon D80 / Tamron 28-300 VC / f/5.6 @ 1/20 sec ISO 100 Pondicherry was a French colony till as recently as 1963. Post processing included HDR processed in Photomatix Pro from a single hand held image duplicated to +/ 2 in Photoshop. Added texture and Orton also completed in Photoshop. Thanks once again to Canonman99 for his guidance on final processing technique.
