Inside the famous Palm House in Kew gardens. This is the largest Victorian glass house in the world. I took 3 paces inside and instantly had to take my glasses off because they steamed up, my camera took 5 minutes to acclimatise before I could use it, I was a bit worried about it, as I’m sure it says something about excessive humidity in the manual, water was dripping from the roof! lol Still, it seemed to survive the experience. As you can see… they grow exotic tropical palms in here!

16”x24” Mixed Media (Airbrush and Ink) She looked through to her past, remembering, contemplating, holding it close to her. One day…she looked deeper…deeper still and she knew it was time to let it go. She released her past…and watched as it flew far away from her…to it’s own future…to it’s own place wild, open and free. Having let it go…she is now free, having looked through the past and on to the future. – By Carrie Glenn / Inspiration and background courtesy of Lord Michael Gatch Featured in Out of the Past / (Thanks Jerame and Michael) Featured in Surrealism / (Thanks Hop Helen and Marison ) Featured in All Things Poetic, Prose, Philosophical / (Thanks Susan) Featured in Northwest Artists / (Thanks EllieWinds) Featured in The Healing Journey / (Thanks Julie) You can contact Carrie at: carrie@carrieglennstudios.com and please visit Carrie Glenn Studios /

Wallflower / Available as a framed print, canvas print, mounted print and card Wallflower is a continuation of my experiment trying to achieve stained watercolour effect. / I owe some inspiration to Mucha’s flowery illustration style. / Wallflower is much richer as Mucha used soft colours, but with my love for rich colours and as the Wallflower’s feelings are intense, I had to go with the strong;) Image copyright © 2008 Shanina Conway. / Copying and displaying or redistribution of this image without permission from the artist is strictly prohibited.

This is the River Duddon flowing through the valley that carries it’s name. This stone bridge is a favoured spot for the “leapers” into the water in the summer. This wonderful spot in the Lake District, is where Whistling Green meets Ulpha over the bridge. Converted into albumen in PSP
