  • A Summer landscape in Holland

  • Taken on Scenic Drive. Carmel, California. November, 2007. There’s an interesting story behind this photograph, and #244, “Scenic & 8th. I was in a local camera store in Carmel, the manager of the store was telling me my camera was a toy because it wasn’t a high priced SLR, like he seels in the store. Obviously this annoyed me because i knew what my camera was capable of doing. So I left the store, walked down toward the beach, saw these Cypress trees, and took these shots in about five minutes. / I then walked back up to the camera store, and showed them to the manager, and the staff. They were impressed with the quality of the images. / I love my camera! I’m using the Panasonic Lumix FZ-50 That is what I used to take almost all the photographs in my portfolio. I’m satisfied with the performance of that camera. The images speak for themselves.

  • Cancun is an unusual city in that it is surrounded by water but is not an island. The resorts are on a narrow strip of land that leads up to Cancun. Every direction you look there is water. The Caribbean is a bright blue color with strips of green. The beaches are a white sand that always feels cool to your feet. / This image is made up of 5 images with a 1 stop change in each, and merged into a HDRI by Photomatrix.

  • Taken at McCloud Resevoir in Northern California; this is just a few miles South of Mount Shasta…a well known fishing spot for the North State. / ___ All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. • Painted from the terrace of a rented apartment in the tiny village of El Golco. In Andalucia, Southern Spain. / The Moorish architecture, with characteristic domes and ‘godfather’ chimneys. This was my first attempt at ‘en plein air’ painting. / The second of two paintings, I did in El golco. (As I further appraised this, after uploading today, it seems more abstract. Although I didn’t intend that, at the time!) June 2007. / Watercolour, 11” x 8” on rough paper.

  • One late afternoon while sitting and relaxing on the balcony of our room at the hotel, after a long and straining roasting day :)) at the Las Galeras beach:)), I was listening and admiring the wonderful music provided by the multiple birds in the surrounding gardens…I heard a ruffle of coconut leafs just beside the ramp of my balcony, turned my head and just before my eyes, spotted a rare sight …a green heron was just standing on a branch leaning and looking down at the ground under , luck was on my side as I had my camera close by on the little patio table , just in time to put it on the ramp of the balcony and aimed at the bird before he flew down on the grass probably to look at what seemed to be the egg that had just fallen out of his nest.
