This t-shirt is another in my line of cards, prints, and clothing geared towards bringing increased awareness to the plight faced by the world’s flora and fauna. this t-shirt, based upon my series of frog, toad, and salamander photographs, depicts the green treefrog, common or Eastern toad, and spotted salamander. They have all been treated with a watercolor filter in photoshop for added depth and detail. The quote on the bottom of the shirt reads: “In the end we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught.” ~Baba Dioum, Senegalese ecologist. Because without these animals I would never be able to bring their beauty to you, I am going to pledge to donate 100% of all of my sales proceeds from cards and prints of the imagery in this series here on Redbubble to Wildlife Conservation Society

This is a view of my wall behind my computer with the light coming through my blind in the afternoon. I love the little patterns it makes on the wall and I couldn’t decide which one I liked most so I had to make a triptych. I hope you enjoy it too!

Nature really is full of surprises, rarely to you come across a tree with a bark that stops you in your tracks. Not because of it’s size or because of it’s twisted body or it’s uprooted roots. This bark stunned me with its colors, these whites, yellows and greens were not paint but a natural pigment of the tree. And it made a gorgeous abstract shot.
This one is actually an older image that I made in 2006. It’s an entirely digitally painted piece, made with a little online program called oekaki (very limited options, but I used to love to work with it). / I used multiple references to draw this leopard and make it look as natural and realistic as possible (so no direct copy of just one photo). Took me a couple of days to draw this one, but it’s still one of my favourites. / Hope you like it! =)
Macro photograph taken from the bark of a tree. I’ve been wanting to capture the bark from this tree for some time now. I’ve heard it named a “Leopard Tree” because of the spotty type of bark. When it flowers it has bright yellow blooms and is very pretty. If anyone knows the correct name I would love to know. Now I’ve lived in Florida for oh 5 nearly 6 years now and have never come across such a gorgeous moth. This moth is 4.5 in width, quite large species. Here is my original photo taken this morning of this stunning moth. He/she is still sitting on the fence and quiet content. I had 4 dogs over playing and running back in forth, and children running around yelling. All the while it wasnt frighten off! We were able to touch it gently, open its wings, pet its head and belly and it seemed happy enough to indulge our curiosity. But something tells me this creature came for a reason, so of course i did my research and learned about the spirit animal Butterfly/Moth! It appears to be precisely on point too. So I returned and thanked the creature and offered my habititat on any occassion and welcomed its presence. Personally I hope it visits daily as it really brighten my day and reminded me life is fleeting and beauty even so small is worth stopping and taking notice. For more educational information go here to learn more about these LUNA MOTHS. Note I read this too: / About luna moth life cycle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atOSro3_W7c also read an article that said this: Relationship to Humans: People rarely see Luna Moths, mostly because they fly late at night. It is a treat to see one, because they are very beautiful insects. Humans have caused Luna Moths to become endangered by pollution and loss of habitat. Luna Moth caterpillars do not do much damage to trees. Guess we were really blessed to see one, sad thing …they only live 1 week! Image copyright © 2009 Lisa C. Weber.
