The fall colours in Nova Scotia can be so beautiful. This picture was taken from a spot in West Pennant called Hospital Hill. Hospital Hill is a couple of miles back in the woods but well worth the hike! When you climb to the top of the hill the views are spectacular, ocean in one direction and hills in the other.

Old dilapidated barn with rustic red doors. This old barn will be torn down sometime this month. Someone in the neighborhood complained that it was an “eye sore”.... so sad! Image was redone for me in HDR by Kimberly Palmer.

Taken about 3/4 of the way up the west coast of north island of NZ between Auckland and Cape Reinga. Just a place we stopped to have lunch, this is actually the view at the back of the car park, the front overlooked a bay with sand dunes on one side and tropical plants on other side (can be seen in my portfolio, called “Land of the long white cloud”).

In recent years this cemetery located in Savannah, Georgia is best known due to the book (and movie): “Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil” In addition some famous people are buried here, Johnny Mercer and Conrad Aiken are just to name a few. I like to walk in this cemetery because it is so peaceful and very interesting to look at. I like to go there early in the morning (when this photo was taken) when hardly anyone is there. Digital photograph.

Geraniaceae Pelargonium grandiflorum Hybrid Pelargonium is a genus of flowering plants which includes about 200 species of perennial, succulent, and shrub plants, commonly known as geraniums. Confusingly, Geranium is the correct botanical name of the separate genus which contains the related Cranesbills. Both genera are in the Family Geraniaceae. Linnaeus originally included all the species in one genus, Geranium, but they were later separated into two genera by Charles L’Héritier in 1789. Gardeners sometimes refer to the members of Genus Pelargonium as “pelargoniums” in order to avoid the confusion, but the older common name “geranium” is still in regular use. Taken at the Eden Project in Cornwall.
