  • A healthy green shrub manages to grow and survive growing out of a 35meter high red sandhill in the Simpson Desert Australia

  • The fall colours in Nova Scotia can be so beautiful. This picture was taken from a spot in West Pennant called Hospital Hill. Hospital Hill is a couple of miles back in the woods but well worth the hike! When you climb to the top of the hill the views are spectacular, ocean in one direction and hills in the other.

  • Old dilapidated barn with rustic red doors. This old barn will be torn down sometime this month. Someone in the neighborhood complained that it was an “eye sore”.... so sad! Image was redone for me in HDR by Kimberly Palmer.

  • “Beautyberry” is part of the Winter collection…”Callicarpa bodinieri var. giraldii, Beautyberry is a gorgeous shrub that can grow to 10 ft. tall…it’s has lovely flowers in late summer, but in the autumn incredible jewel like amethyst coloured berries appear, that stay on till winter finally sets in…I plant lots of dfferent shrubs with berries in my garden so there is always a show even when the all the leaves are gone.. / I added touches of frost to the leaves, which often happens in late fall Watercolour on Fabriano Not Paper See more of the Winter/Christmas Collection / HERE

  • These pale peachy yellow Day Lilies from my garden in Toronto, Ont.Canada, are submerged by the Fallopia Japonica all summer long… they bloom beautifully beside the shrub, which provides great contrast with it’s splashy painted leaves…at the end of the day the sun is just kissing them with light…I have a huge variety of daylilies and have given them their own pages in my garden website….I thought I would share some with you.. unedited and as is / DayLily 2
