These palm leaves visually sprang out at me during a walk in the Eungella National Park west of Mackay, Qld. I found the polarising effect of the leaves on one another quite intriguing.

Found this solid green beetle on one of my Petunias. It’s called a Green Strip Leaf Beetle – Calomela pallida. Macro 1:1 Also, there has been no photo manipulation of this beetles “claw” or foot – as you see it is how it was.
Litoria fallax Macro 1:3 These frogs are no more than 2.5cm – 3cm big – very tiny indeed. They can be hard to spot as they hide amongst the aquatic plants.

These flowers come off a plant that lives in a pond. Not sure yet of it’s botanical name but will be going back shortly to collect this information
