Well here it is folks…I will put up a better quality photo later. / After hours and hours of diligent crosshatching EVERY SINGLE SCALE, I have finished. Can anything represent diversity better?
I used the common colour pencils to depict having the courage to be different and break out. I used a very short depth of field on this shot to focus on the red pencil and bring a 3-D effect to the shot. I hold this shot very close to heart- the only shot I submitted to a competition and sailed through to the finals :). The theme was…’breakout’, of course!
Just I heard a song I really liked it and I think it goes well with my ” dreamy girl ” who is lost in thoughts and dreams …....................... ” When you dream , / dream big as big as the ocean is blue ; / When you dream , / dream big it might all come true, / so when you dream , / dream big . “ Good things about dreams , even if they don’t come true , you can still enjoy the dream ! Watercolour pencil drawing on heavy white watercolour paper , size 30 cm / 42 cm .Artwork is for sale, signed and protected by copyright. Many thanks for stopping by , and any feedback on this site would be welcomed and appreciated. It’s always nice to know who stopped by !
Picasso fans will recognize this as similar to “Girl Before A Mirror”. It was of course insired by that painting. This was done in blue and green colored pencils… it very much expressed how I was feeling at the time I did it.

Coloured Pencil and Ink on 280 gsm Glass Ivory Paper - / (40cm x 60cm) Worked on this one for over a week, through the wee small hours of the mornings. All my art is cathartic, it’s how I balance my life, creating is my reason to go on. When I’m up I create, when I’m down I create, creativity is my balance. I did this as one of my first experiments into coloured pencil art, and found the whole ‘colouring in’ process so very relaxing and calming. I couldn’t help but feel happyness and joy while doing this. I spent every moment I could as a child, laying on my tummy, drawing, colouring. Nothing has changed, I’m still laying on my tummy, drawing, colouring (lol) Views: 703 as at 25-11-2009 / Favourites: 38 as at 25-11-2009 FEATURED in ‘Coloured Pencil Art’ (June 2009) / FEATURED in ‘Fantastic Primitive Art’(June 2009) / FEATURED in ‘First Things’ (June 2009) / FEATURED in ‘Hand Drawn or Painted Art of Happiness & Joy’ (June 2009) / FEATURED in ‘Freedom to Shine’ (June 2009) / FEATURED in ‘Fantastic Primitive Art’ (July 2009) / FEATURED in ‘Colour Me a Rainbow’ (July 2009) / FEATURED in ‘Creative Cards’ (July 2009) / FEATURED In ‘Globes, Spheres and Curves’ (July 2009) / FEATURED in ‘The New Beat Generation’ (August 2009) / FEATURED in ‘Spectacular Spirals’ August, 2009 / FEATURED in ‘Healing through Art’ November, 2009 / FEATURED in ‘Oh so emotional (happy)’ November, 2009 / FEATURED in ‘Healing through art (HTA)’ November, 2009 /

I tweaked the colors of this image so that it works better with RB previews. Based on pictures from previous buyers I think it will print much more vibrant that the previews show. I also added a few details. This image is available as a PRINT
Pencil drawing, layered with color in photoshop, with some additional lines drawn using a wacom pad. I created this version so that I can also sell it on T-Shirts here at RedBubble.
This is a piece that I did for the / THE DIVINE FEMININE / Warriors, Demons, and Whores Challenge. She is – Morgan (Morrigan): Celtic; Goddess of War and Magic. In some ancient stories “The Dark Green Goddess from the Emerald Isle” is mated with the Merlin, in others she is the Lady of the Lake, and in many versions she is the sister of Arthur. Morgan has her good side but is mostly known for her deep dark shadow side. She was said to be a shape-changer who could turn from ravishing beauty to hag, to crow. She reportedly also knew how to utilize the full spectrum of Earths Energy for good or bad. I was inspired by the artwork here on RedBubble of: AlexandraG, AmandaGWright, artistmind, Reynaldo and more to be loose and expressive with my line work and color. With this piece I think that I made that next step. 10×8 IN. Ink, Pencil, and Chalk Pastel on Watercolor paper.
