  • AUTHOR’S NOTE: / Any perceived sharpening artifacts in the normal and/or larger view have been caused by RB’s jpg compression algorithm and do NOT appear in print. THE SUBJECT: / The lush greens, wonderful highlights and that zig-zag fenceline caught my eye. The main problem was just how to shoot it looking almost right into the light at the wrong time on a blazing hot summer day. LOCATION: / West of Port Macquarie , NSW, Australia, through Wauchope, (pronounced “War-Hope”), through Beechwood and into a dairy area called Pappinbarra . THE MAKING of ‘Fenceline Through Green Pasture’: / Fuji S9600: ND4 & Circular Polarizing Filter stacked, Manual settings of f/4 @ 1/60sec, Manual focus, ISO80, Tripod, Timer. / Lightroom 1.1 & Photoshop CS3. Visit the Landscapes collection in my BubbleSite Gallery for more vistas and panoramas. UPDATE: / 24-01-09 / To successfully print this on Ilford Galerie Smooth High Gloss Media, I had to pump up the overall saturation as this product seems to flatten the greens. The end result was very good and perhaps I could have pumped up the saturation even more. UPDATE: / 04-03-09 / This lovely green sunlit pasture has been featured in the Amateur Art Photography Group’s ‘Photos O’Green’ Challenge. Enjoy! LANDSCAPES / (Click the links!) • One of my favorite pastimes is riding in the country. I love the fresh air, the quietness, the unhurried pace, the simplicity and peacefulness, and the chance to clear the mind and refresh the spirit. It’s a prayer in my opinion, a pure and direct way to communicate with the Creator.
