A sheepfold left deserted for the winter
The town of Wengen near Interlaken is the “unplugged” version of the Swiss countryside, with scenes like these that make it the ideal getaway place. / / Some of my other work: / / / © Kuntal Daftary
Lush greenery on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. Winter or summer, it rains here several times a day. In the background are perpetually misty cliffs of the legendary Na Pali coast.

A paddock and a fence, light and shadow…
©Seth F.Weaver,Sr.09/12/72. Oil painting on canvas panel. This was a scene out of my art room window. Sort of calm and soothing, extremely pastoral. Thanks for looking Seth
The color green is a color that unleashes so many emotions in us all. A very primal hue that creates images of cool grasses, deep waters, and Mother Nature herself. After the icy blasts of Winter we all eagerly await the first green of Spring. Green symbolizes hope, prosperity, bounty, and the list goes on. I use green sparingly because of my dark mood but collected here you will find 14 attempt at greening myself up. Thanks for looking, Seth
Pastoral view in Taos New Mexico. I took this pic on my Sunday Morning run. / A favorite route of mine.
An avenue of oaks line either side of what was once a road leading to a small cottage on Lee common, in Buckinghamshire, England. The late afternoon sun and the new spring grass help create a lovely rich glow. Canon 10D / 1/160th sec at f 10 / Sigma 15-30mm lens at 15mm / ISO 100 Minor adjustments in Lightroom. If you like this image, why not have a look at this one, shot 100 yards from where this one was photographed.
Photographed in Wales near the village of St Florence in Pembrokeshire. I was as usual, up early and foraging for photographic opportunities. I saw thi view flash by through a gap in the roadside hedge. I jammed on brakes and reversed up, got out of the car and was busily shooting thinking I was up way too early to be holding up any traffic. I was wrong, but the farmer I delayed was nice about it and commented on what a nice morning it was. Canon 10D / 1/640th sec at f8.0 / 35-135mm lens at 135mm / ISO 100
This image of cows “skylighting” on the slopes of this field was photographed near St Anne’s Head in Pembrokeshire, Wales. I love the simplicity of this image. Canon 10D / 1400th Sec at f10 / 15-30mm lens at 30mm / ISO 100 Give me simple lines and a big sky…

This is a quiet hillside just out of the town of Berry in the Shoalhaven district of NSW. Not many come here because not many know about it. Which suits me fine :) Peace, quiet, serenity, sanity. Everything I wanted from my seachange :)
View from Mengelers Hill in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. The Barossa and adjacent valleys and hills are world famous wine producing areas, but there are many other suberb quality foods grown and manufactured there as well. A real foodies heaven.
Made with Ultra Fractal. Thank you very much for the encouragements, support and faves. :)
These images are of a little town called Grand Coteau in southwestern Louisiana. Known as a hub for Catholic spirituality, Grand Coteau’s history is long and rich. Pictured here are landmarks in the little rural town including the Academy of the Sacred Heart, St. Charles Borromeo Church, and St. Charles College (all established in the early 1800s), as well as the Jesuit Cemeteries, farmland scenes, and majestic oaks which are trademarks of the town.

In this painting I wanted to show the richness of the pasture and contrasting image of the mountain peak in the distance. I wanted to show the contrast of the gold to the rich green and the subtle colors of the mountain and soft clouds. You can just get a glimpse of a house then up to the ridge where there is in image of a barn. This painting reflects the essence of rural Vermont. / Original: oil on canvas, 10” x 10”. /
at my home, looking out my front window, this is my view as I sit here at the computer… sunrises, sunsets, full moons, no moons, storms and just some very nice days roll past these windows. This was shot yesterday (11/10/09) between rainshowers, around sunset. Eugene, Oregon Pentax *istDs
