  • 100% of proceeds received from Redbubble in respect to sales of this item, will be donated to Bush Heritage Australia This photo of the often heard but seldom seen Eastern Whipbird was taken at Point Hicks in the Croajingolong National Park, Victoria. Over the last three years I have taken hundreds of photos of this secretive bird – all were trashed. At last I think I’ve managed a half reasonable snap of one. Hope you enjoy.

  • Reeshofpark, Tilburg. A photography turned into a digital painting. Having my daughter just picked up from her school on one Friday in November 2007, we ran through the local park to be in time for her ballet class. We were nearly too late, because in the park I couldn’t leave this lovely autumn scene behind me without taking a camera out of the bag! / I love it in big format, so this is a procedure how to make a nice print out of a photograph taken by a simple 2MB digital compact: / - photograph a lovely scene (important!) / - upload the file into your computer / - use software wisely to improve it. / What I did with this one: / - first, in Picasa: Feelin’ lucky, color temperature, sharpen, glow, gradtint / - second, in GIMP: scale, oilify, add frame if desired I hope you will like the result as much as I do. Comments and critiques very welcome :)

  • Hanseatic City of Lübeck, ‘Gate to the Baltic’ founded in 1143 and declared a city as early as 1226, was Germany’s second largest medieval city. It was declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987. Its Old Town with approximately 1800 listed buildings is a true paradise (not only) for a photographer. You can see the world-famous Holstentor (Holsten Gate), Lübeck’s landmark, in the background of the photograph.

Suddath Due to a successful brook trout restoration program, for the first time in 30 years, anglers are now able to fish for brook trout in park streams of the Smoky Mountains. These streams were once ruined by logging. The brook trout was also rooted out my non native rainbow and brown trout. Our waters are precious for our life and all of natures, help keep them clean. • I painted a pile of rubbish with autumn leaves to depict the beauty of simple things, vitalise them and fill them with sense.

  • This little cedar tree caught my eye, standing out amongst monstrous sandstone, hoo doos, and brush. With all the dignity it could muster, I wonder how this little tree could survive in such desert-like surroundings. God truly is amazing…. /
