This is exactly how it looked in 1989. The ivy stays here year round. It’s weird, because it’s barren outside; winter. But when you step inside (which isn’t hard..you simply step through the wall) it looks like a summer day. Very odd & surreal feeling. Something besides portraiture for a change! This piece won the College Foundation Purchase Award in the student art show I entered last April. It was my first ever entry into an art show, and I was shocked and elated that I actually won something. Needless to say, I am very proud of this image. © Cadence Gamache This piece was nominated into the Pay It Forward group by the wonderful Melanie Dooley. This intimate, bright yet dark, static yet flowing, autumn themed image was made in Baxter State Park, Maine, USA in October 2006. I like the contrast of the flowing water beneath the still branches, the pop of color from the remaining birch leaves, and the juxtaposition of the branch atop the stream in tone and color! /

This is currently not for sale as a laminated print because the border won’t print well with the text on the laminated prints, since RB adds their own border. If you would like to purchase a laminated print, please let me know and I will post a version without the text. :) Mother Nature has the most amazing palette with which to create, doesn’t she? The flowers are, from left to right: turk’s cap, Mexican sunflower, golden allamanda, elephant’s ear, agapanthus, and passionflower. All photos were taken in gardens in and around Gainesville, Florida. 100% of the profits from the sale of my work will be donated to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
