I got up early, and walked around the old farm. Here and there remembering my childhood. Grandma and grandpa would be up at the crack of dawn, grandma baking her homemade bread, grandpa to milk the cows and tend to the chores. The chickens would be out scratching the dirt, the roosters would be crowing. Later the cows would be out in the pasture, and you could here their long plaintive moos. Out behind the farmhouse grandma always had a gigantic garden that we would have to help with. The pigs had their own place, and once when I was younger I fell in the pig waller! What a mess! I got cleaned up outside with the cold well water! (Didn’t do that again!) lol. So come on, sit a spell on the porch swing, wave at your neighbors when they drive by, and let your memories come back!
