The rice terraces of Long Ji. This shot was taken from the tracks between the lookouts above Pingan. The rice was just getting ripe so there are touches of gold in the fields.

This is a great walk to go and do! It’s not to hard and you see beautiful things the whole way! How to get there… Commencing from the Leura Cascades Picnic Area make your way to the information board from which you will observe a concrete pathway descending to the left. Follow the pathway as it travels beside the bubbling Leura Cascades creek. You will approach a small footbridge, at this there will be an intersection, you will note a weathered signpost indicating the direction of Leura Cascades, from this point head downhill to the Cascades. As you descend the fern covered stairs (handrails for support) to the Cascades you will hear the sounds of rushing water as the creek picks up speed. At the bottom, the Cascades are best viewed from beneath a rock cave looking back up the Cascades. A brief sidetrack can be made from the Cascades by following the path for a short distance to a lookout directly above the Bridal Veil Falls. Return to the picnic area via the same pathway.

The poster edition of the original vector drawn photographic print series I made earlier this year. All VHS covers were hand drawn from original images (it took ages). The rap (Abridged): / Do you remember when your VCR broke and you decided not to get another because they were sort of old technology? DVD was replacing VHS and you could probably buy the shows you wanted as season sets on DVD soon. Have they released those shows yet? Maybe you started watching different stuff because they didn’t release them? I don’t know, but many films aren’t being replaced on DVD at my local video shop when the VHS copy dies … I can’t find Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure in any DVD rental place… and find me The Last Star Fighter while you’re looking. I loved that movie! Things look right on VHS, The Dark Crystal, Star Wars, Alien, Thomas the Tank Engine, Sooty, all better on tape, darker, warmer, grainier. We’ve lost something here, it’s changed, it ain’t cool. detail sample: /

How different are the colours in the present winter forest here: just brown and black and grey and a little bit of green somewhere. So when I returned from my wet Sunday morning bike trip just now, I did long for the colour green again. And so I dig up this old shot, bringing my – and hopefully your – minds into a greener world. This dreamful scene of a very peaceful beechtree grove was taken near Laage Vuursche on a lovely slightly hazy day in early October 2007. You could hear the elves whisper behind the trees … Near Laage Vuursche, 4th October 2007, 9.13 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 48 mm / F 10, 1/5, ISO 1000

Lake Falls in Matthiessen State Park is possibly the most magical, spiritual waterfall I have ever photographed. It is special and always blesses me with a wonderful spiritual feel to it. It inspires me to be religous in some way that I cannot explain. / The whirlpool is like God. He has no beginning and no end.
The traffic at night on the freeways of So. California. This type of shot has been one of my favorites since i first started photography.
Taken on Valetine’s eve. / Perfect weather and you could see this Northern light starting slowly on your right side and start to spread more towards the left. The colours where amazing. Normally it’s difficult to see the purple/red but not this time. So I got the entire developing of this Northern lights until it almost covered the sky.
