a piece of wood found in the graden placed on an antique wooden set of drawers
Mapleton Forrest, Qld, Australia.
Turtle resting on a log.
We have a large, gnarled, ancient crab-apple tree at the entrance to our property. Last week in the bad weather and stormy winds the top section, about 9 feet long, split from the main trunk. It showered the ground below with little striped apples. Today when the weather was kinder, I began clearing the debris and I set this shot up on the stump of a Scots pine tree to remind me of the chaos of the week before..

I first wasn’t going to upload this, then I realized, what it lacks in artistic integrity, it makes up in aesthetics.

I took this photo of a Canada Goose at the Green Ribbon Trail in St. Catharines, Ont., Canada / I just got my new 300mm f/4 lens with the 1.7 teleconverter so was anxious to get there to see what I shots I could get. It was an overcast day today so I had to use ISO 400. I also took some shots of a Great Blue Heron and a Green Heron but haven’t played around with them yet to see if they are good enough to post. Nikon d80 / 1/100 sec at f/6.7 / 1/3 EV / ISO 400 / Focal Length 500
