UNTOUCHED…JUST A YELLOW FILTER ADDED. / This was takeen at Lake L’Achigan,St-Hippolyte,Quebec,Canada / I was comming back from breakfast in the village where I live when I saw this scene ,I stoped ,couldn’t beleive that I wasn’t able to see on the other side of the lake.Heavy fog and soft light gave me the opportunity to do this image,I just love it ,makes me think of an old painting.If you look carefully ,you will see the other side’s shadow.The reflection was great because there were no fog in front of me just on the other side.A very foggy sunrise it was.When I did this shot it thought about «Water world» and how our the planet is beautiful even with a little piece of land. / / / /

Several months ago I was commissioned to do another cover for Conscious Living magazine here in Australia. The theme was to focus on “wild” and in particular….HORSES! / My first thoughts turned to a good friend and talented photographer here on Redbubble – Gene Praag who regularly captures amazing images of the wild horses in his home state of Utah. / And so I asked this fellow bubbler would he be able to help me with REAL wild horse images to work with, as opposed to me taking shots of local domestic horses and pretending they were “wild”. / From this collaboration I generated several pieces of art, and had loads of fun, and I have to say, both Gene and I were surprised at the magazine’s final choice of one of the less artistic images for their cover this issue….. (and yes, before anyone comments, I reckon Equus is spelled differently…lol) so I decided to share with you, one of the other images created from our joint efforts. SO thank you most sincerely to Gene for his generosity and kindness and for being so helpful in this project…... if you haven’t already done so, please take a moment to check out his amazing portfolio of images featuring the wild horses of the USA captured in their natural habitat, and being …... wild and free….. along with many other beautiful landscapes and subjects….. An experiment with water droplets, glitter, a CD, wrapping paper and light. I had some metallic paper reflecting in the CD and the flash from my camera made it very interesting with all the glitter. This is the kind of thing I do when it’s too cold to go outside…. haha. Enjoy!

I think i’m going to start a “Living Landmark Series’. This tree has a story. A good friend of mind had visited this tree 25 years ago and this week-end he organised for me to venture with him to see this Living Landmark. This is a ‘Cedrus libari’ or known as a Lebanon Cedar. A tall long lived Cedar with spreading branches that grows in Lebanon & Turkey. Quite a rare tree for Australia. It was his second visit and my first, although i can see this tree from my backyard perched below ‘Cook’s Hill’ in Korumburra in South Gippsland Australia. It is estimated that this tree is around 100 years old planted around the same time as the Korumburra Botanical Gardens somewhere around 1910-1920.
