Last one of these, I promise! Also see Twirled and Twirled Again. (I’m real creative with names and stuff.) This time I kept seeing it as some undersea creature/plant, so I gave it a green tint. This plant is in flower now (mid May) in North Cornwall. It likes growing here under trees, especially conifers, though this one is in the open which is probably why it hasn’t spread as rapidly as it is supposed to. Pentax K10D.

by Kate Eller30”x 40” acrylic on Number 80 Bainbridge Board cold-pressed. I used gesso to cover the beginnings of something I had started a long time ago. I have been working on this off and on for the past couple of weeks…...... between giving time to two grandsons, ten cats, and a dog. First large painting, and first flowers I have done in a while. My inspiration has been all the wonderful florals I have seen on RedBubble! There are so many beautiful paintings and drawings on this site….....all are an inspiration for me to paint and draw again.

Best on Full Size Having some fun with the macro/micro lens in my garden (Montgomery County, Maryland) the other day, August 3, 2009, I found this darling little critter (thought she was a grasshopper but have been told by wiser heads than mine that she’s a Katy-Did) enjoying brunch. Loved the way she munched away on the flower thingie like a cob of hot buttered corn!!!! Handheld image taken with the Nikon D300 and the 60mm Nikon macro/micro lens. Shutter 1/640, aperture f/13, exp -.33, iso 200. Minor cropping and levels work in Photoshop.
