Acrylic painting on canvas inspired by folklore and the mysterious ‘Face Through the Leaves’ which has always fascinated me. I used holly and ivy from my garden to refer to for this painting. Images of the Green Man have been found all around the world.

I paintaed this in acrylic on canvas.
I painted this in ‘94. It is just soft pastel, and although not an outstandingly artistic painting, it is a cute composition based on a photograph I took way back in the seventies whilst I was still at school. / It is amazing how you can hit upon the most perfect image perhaps just once or twice in a lifetime. We printed the image to raise funds for the NCH (National Children’s Home) which is a children’s charity in the UK. I have chosen to make this available as a print here, but only on the understanding that any proceeds I shall forward to the same charity.
hey mom! your baby’s growing! :)

I took this photo for a couple of reasons to “show off” the wonderful mossy/lichen filled rainforest in Oregon and to show the great maple leaves we have!!! Photo taken at McDowell Creek County Park, Linn County, Oregon! Here is a photo showing the size of the maples leaves. Should give you a sense of the size of the tree trunk as well.
