This is a 180 degrees panorama of roaring beach at dover tasmania. It is 8 vertical shots, stichched together, they were 2 dark, but luckily they were in RAW, so i could up the brightness easily. I had a REALLLY hard time stitching these together correctly, and blending them. especially because the right half , i accidentally had auto focus on, and i had a polarising filter, so it turned the lens, and changed the settings, making the sky on the right brighter, and the water lighter and less blue and less green. So it took alot of work, like 4 hours, but it came out pretty well. only thing i dont like is the over exposed sky on the right, but it was kinda like that anyway. Comments appreciated _!

I don’t remember where exactly I took this shot. I was taking shots everywhere. I liked what I saw here, the green, the patterns and textures of this beautiful land. I hope you like it too.

my husband and i was traveling to West Virginia and on the side of the road i saw this beautiful shot that i could not pass up. so i had ask my husband to pull over and he did .. this was taken with my nikon d80 and created this image as a HDR image. Here is what I did to capture this image this way. I hand held the camera. I used a 3 different expose. one expose was very dark then the other was standard setting and the last was very high expose Then I used my corel paint shop and click on my hdr open file. Where I can select my hdr images and combine the three images. Then I adjusted the lighting to have rich colors. And that’s how you great HDR. If you want to get some technical info then bubble mail me and I will tell you /

This is the last batch of my The Hidden Land collection from the Australian Museum. As before, these were shot at the Australian Museum’s collection of rocks and minerals; the handicaps and limitations of the shots are the same – behind glass cases and limited lighting. This collection features rocks and minerals highlighting their unique properties and formations. I always try to take as macro a shot as I can without loosing too much information about my subjects. Some post work was needed to bring out the textures and balance the lighting – Tone Curve, Saturation and Gamma. Originally, the group name referred to a specific mineral, but was redefined in 1978 to stand for a class of minerals of similar chemical makeup that comprise a solid solution series, and includes the members fluorapophyllite, hydroxyapophyllite, and natroapophyllite. The name apophyllite is derived from the Greek apophylliso, meaning “it flakes off,” a reference to this class’s tendency flake apart when heated, due to water loss. These minerals are typically found as secondary minerals in holes in basalt or other igneous rocks. They can also be called “fisheye stone”.Though relatively unfamiliar to the general public, apophyllites are fairly prevalent around the world, with specimens coming from some of the world’s most well-known mineral localities. These localities include: Poona, India; the Harz Mountains of Germany, Mont Saint-Hilaire in Canada, and Kongsberg, Norway, with other locations in Scotland, Ireland, Brazil, Japan, and throughout the United States.Apophyllites are popular as collector’s minerals. This popularity is due to a combination of factors, including their abundance, color variety, and well-defined crystals. Naturally forming pyramidal structures, they refract light in obvious rainbows, and can form “natural pyramids” when subjected to rock tumbling. from: Wikipedia

And God Said, “Let bright lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. They will be signs to mark off the seasons, the days, and the years. Let their light shine down upon the earth.” And so it was. For God made two great lights, the sun and the moon, to shine down upon the earth. The greater one, the sun, presides during the day, the lesser one, the moon, presides through the night. He also made the stars. God set these lights in the heavens to light the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. This all happened on the fourth day. Genesis 1: 14-19 / / New Living Translation Bible Detail of Stained Glass Window at Saint George’s Anglican Church in Helmetta, NJ, USA
