This shot is taken in the north of Rwanda near the DR Congo border. It showcases the absurd beauty of this broken land. Known as the land of one thousand hills Rwanda is bursting at the seams. This shots is part of the ‘world’s most expensive card’ promotion initiated by John Robb. It has raised close to $700 AUD so far.

Autumn colours for the maple tree against the old mans beard that hangs all through the garden!!
Taken in Nairne in the Adelaide Hills. The sun as it rose through the fog turned the branches & dried grass a beautiful golden red colour. I also used the ‘shade’ white balance, which helped to enhance the yellow & red tones.
The undulation of a ghost gum leaf. Back lighting with wireless strobe.
Taken on the trail to “The Basin” on Friday October 3/08. Nikon D40, Nikkor 18-55mm lens. / The Basin is a naturally occuring granite bowl in the White Mountains range and is part of the Franconia Notch State Park, located in the heart of the popular White Mountain National Forest, New Hampshire USA / On this trail are cascades and waterfalls leading to The Basin, which is believed to have been eroded 15,000 years ago while the North American ice sheet was melting. The Basin has been smoothed by small stones and sand, whirled around by the Pemigewasset River. / I didn’t make it as far as The Basin this time (have been there in the past), because I was caught by surprise in an unexpected downpour. I quickly shoved my camera into the case and wrapped my sweater around it. Then looked for my friend Wanda who was nowhere to be found. She had made it all the way to The Basin ahead of me. I was lucky to find cover under the roof of an outhouse at the beginning of the trail. It rained and hailed for about 20 minutes. When my friend Wanda made it back, she was soaking wet. This is one of two shots I managed to get. ! my own picture + curves for color adjustment / light adj. (it was shot in low light environment and forgot to set a higher ISO) + texture (thank you Wildfire47 for sharing this stunning texture !!) / - / my youngest child – 5 yo – loves fish… fishing, feeding them by hand, catching them with a net or hands, watching them for hours, kissing them… small or big, gray, yellow , red or blue… she loves them all the way… except in her plate ! lol yesterday, when I said we were going to the drugstore, she was happy because she remembered there was an aquarium with beautiful tropical fish and crustaceans there. So I brought my camera and “courage” not often you see someone shooting in a drugstore ! in fact, I never did … lol and told her she could choose one picture from which I would make a wallpaper for her computer. this is one of the picture I took. I couldn’t resist working on the colors and adding a texture to see what it would look like. I was pleased with it and so happy my daughter make me see life with such innocence and wonder ! / I wouldn’t have taken this picture if it wasn’t for her ;) hope some of you will enjoy it as well ^^ / - / /

a whole collection of green acrylic washes with accents of cadmium reds done in brasil, i was buying raw cotton cloth and priming them with a very thick white gesso, at the time for some months i was living in a small town called lorena, all around us was the magnificent mountains and forests of brasil but the town as a pocket in the center of it all was stone terra cotta and tiels, no green, all the little house were glued together, we all had our own little court yard surrounded by high walls, all red and brown and ochre tiles, i wanted to see some green so i started the green dream series, for days and nights i would work under the delicious hot sun and at night under the most magnificent of starry skies and with large brushes and a garden hose splash these bad boy canvases down, sizes ranged from 5 foot square to 7 feet by 6 feet, in a couple of weeks time i had my own little green back yard! everything was stained in green….... / for all occasions, fineart products can be found here at redbubble and also at my zazzle fineart gallery below, if you like please visit

Fairy goddess of clover and all things luck. This is the lovely Lynsye Medalia fellow bubbler and fee. She was kind enough to send me a few photos for reference. This is my first attempt at her…so it is not quite right in resemblance, but it is a start…as you can see I changed the clothes… I added a touch of red to match her lips. 9×12 / Inks.
