My photograph edited with Photofiltre. This cast iron angel sits about 2ft high, at the foot of an overgrown and long forgotton tombstone (circa 1800’s) in St Michael’s churchyard Madeley, Shropshire UK – eternally weeping for the occupant whose name has long since worn away. Whenever I see it, I always find it sad and a little eerie – almost expecting to see a tear slide down it’s weathered cheek….
